Build a bear

edited June 2011 in Just for Fun
My son has one of those build a bears. The cheap generic ones. Any ways He carries it EVERYWHERE with him and its starting to get dungy looking and hes starting to smell.. Do you think its ok to stick it in the washer? The tag doesnt say.. And Id be soo dead and wouldnt sleep for days if I hurt his Tiger. Hes his best buddy :)

  • I'm wondering the same thing. My nephew has one called birthday (Idk y he jus calls it that) nd it seriously smells like spoiled milk nd looks like its been through hell nd back. . Sorry I couldn't be any help. I wish I knew the answer too.
  • I'm not sure of the generic version but I have about 8 grandkids n I wash them all the time

  • I recently just washed ALL my daughters stuffed animals, including build a bears due to bby coming hm soon! Absolutely nothing happened to them. I did delicate cycle on washer... L-)
  • You can put stuffed animals in a pillow case and throw them in the washing machine. I just washed my son's the other day.
  • You could also hand wash but the drying time would take a while
  • As long as you do it on the gentle/delicate cycle with low temps it *should* be fine. Worst case scenario a seam may bust but thats a pretty easy fix. Good luck!
  • It is an easy fix. Thanks @rockinmomma ill Just have to wash it after he falls asleep and hpe he's dry by morning
  • I don't have any experience washing build-a-bears, but I've washed stuffed animals by putting them in a pillowcase in the washing machine.
  • @raceylacey do You also Dry it? Or do you just let them air dry?
  • @soontohavethree yep, i just put it on delicates.
