Should I change my hospital *update*

Ok so my maternity unit has been on the news for the past couple of days. They had 5 deaths in 18months. The local mp has gone to the houses of parliament to get improvements as it's the worst hospital around. Should I be worried? Should I change my hospital? If I change hospital I deffo won't be able to have the water birth I so desperately want. Idk what to do. The only other place I can go is where I watched my best mates mum die and it would stress ms out going there. They also don't have birthing pools so confused and worried..

Oh lord most def.. you may not know why or if it has angything to do with unnatural causes. To be safe and have peace of mind i would deff change

I would change hospitals, death isn't a little mistake. If there's a better hospital close by then I say switch!

I would switch.. I would rather deal with not having a water birth and have a health safe delivery.

The lady says she has a massive case load of women who are unhappy and have had bad experiences. Thats not good. I think you should definitely switch!

Even though you want a water birth (knock on wood) if for any reason you're unable to have one THAT hospital is not where you want to be-my opinion from reading the article.

If you can leave a lil longer, see if they finally improve it? If not take a paddlin pool to ur new hospital! Hehe

Ok, I'm gunna switch in the morning as I'm being brought in at 32weeks with the possiblity of a csection ahh crap. Thanks ladies x

Things to consider:

When was the last death?
How did these people die?
Was it from medications?
Did any of the ladies have a water birth?

I would switch, for sure. Your water birth won't mean anything if you die. : ( And if you are looking at the prospect of a c-section, so much more could go wrong. I read the article and I wouldn't go there.

@mommy_of_two I switched this morning way I see it im not getting my water birth and pretty sure it will be a section so best to go to the other place. Who says happy memories can't replace the sad? Maybe my friends mum will be holding my hand allthe way through
