What they DON'T tell you about Pregnancy/Labor/After Baby
So after sharing my horrific birth story I thought it would be fun to start a post about all the crazy things that go on during pregnancy/labor/and after baby that most people don't talk about or don't mention.
1. Skin tags .. those horrific ugly random skin things you get during pregnancy that don't go away after baby.. I have some on my hooch.. it's NOT pretty
2. extremely LARGE aeroloas that don't seem to shrink or look right after the baby. My nipples used to be pink and the size of a quarter.. after having my daughter and this second baby they are easily the size of a large peach.. (yes just my big brown nips)
3. During labor an epidural isn't supposed to numb your entire body, if it does then it was done wrong.
4. After labor you HAVE TO URINATE within 2 hours on your own, if you don't your bladder can explode and could possibly kill you.
5. If you have a vaginal delivery.. your vagina will NEVER look the same, and right after delivery for 3 days it may look like a botched sex change operation. I swore it looked like I had testicles that had exploded.
6. After BABY BELLY is NOT A PRETTY SITE!!! The loose skin seems like it will never soak back up into "normal form!"
7. That Linea Nigra line that you get up your belly... may not go away. I had mine for 9 months after I had my daughter, only to get preggers again.
My sister delivered over a year ago and you can still clearly see her line up the belly, it's very dark.
Right now these are all I can think of.. I thought this would be fun though.. so be sure and add anything else! If I think of any more I will add too!

I really wanted this post though because I wish people HAD told me about all these random things...
Also another one..
How HORRIFYING it is the first time you poop after giving birth... I was SO scared to death it was going to hurt.. especially because your sooo constipated. I don't think I pooped for 2 weeks after delivery!
I have always had light nipples and they went back to normal after my daughter, but I didn't get linea negra, so you might have more skin pigment than me naturally.
If you got stitches, they will hurt every time you sit down, or sit on the toilet...
If you give birth at the hospital, don't expect to get sleep. The baby will sleep, but the hospital will consistently send doctors, photography, birth certificate, pediatrics, nurses, and nutrition in like every hour through the night and day, throughout your whole stay!
Take advantage of having someone get you snacks from the snack room at hospital, so that you can keep hydrated and feeling well
If you get the epidural, you may throw up immediately after. Don't panic, its pretty common.
I tore but pushing out the placenta didn't burn for me.
If something goes wrong (ie baby heart rate dropping,) don't panic, stay calm. Panicking will not help.
Afterwards, keep down there clean, clean, clean!!!
A catheder can cause a uti. So if its EXCRUCIATING to pee days after birth, its NOT NORMAL. Go get antibiotics. But be aware, antibiotics can cause a yeast infection.(Yup, I dealt with both for a while. Pure hell)
what.
