How did you find out you were pregnant? :)

If it weren't because I was deploying and a pregnancy exam is necessary to make sure no one is deploying pregnant, I would have never known. I was almost two months in my pregnancy when I found out....but there was a point when I had the feeling that I was pregnant and said it was impossible because i was on the pill....heeheehee we now know the pill is not so effective.

amen to that- my first two were birth control babies. and no one can tell me i didn't take it properly, i took it by an alarm every morning....
this is my third, and i found out:
doc gave me some meds and specifically told me to make sure i was not pregnant before i started them. he said "it's actually best to take an hpt to be sure." so i waited for my period, since i am irregular as it is. and nothing came in about a week, so i took a test and i nearly fell on the floor. i called hubby in to look and he says "well, one test doesn't prove anything, right?" so later that day i took 3 more tests, all +. and then it's all history from there. i was so sure it was going to be negative, but... i was wrong. lol. i must be terrible at this knowing when im pregnant bit considering i was so sure with my other two i wasn't.

I had a coil removed to try for a baby with my hubby... 2 months later took a test, waited and only 1 line so my thinking was - didnt bin the test right away, why I dont know! But looked at it again about 5 mins later and there it was, a second line!!!! I done about 5 in total, I just couldnt believe it :-D this is my third so it wasnt like I was new to it lol, just took a bit longer to regester :-)

wow, i was on the pill for 5+ years and it has never failed me! lol i actually have two kids and i had my hands full for the past 7/8 years and decided to get off the pill and ttc. so since i was trying i knew when i missed my period to take a test and got my BFP . not interesting at all LOL

My fiance and I weren't being super careful going about having sex, and we were actually broken up when I got pregnant. I knew something was up when I hadn't had any period symptoms. Took a test 2 days early and got faint positive. Took one the next day, another faint positive. We confirmed it on may 3rd, my fiances birthday, that I was at a local planned parenthood. A month later we got back together and have been going strong since(: not to mention a healthy baby growing!

@surviormommie3 wow it's youre third pregnancy with birth control?! I had an iud for the reason that i wanted liberty from pills and i was set to deploy many times so the times i'd get to go home with my hubby i wanted to have carefree sex lol

@ncoughlin08 God does have a plan for all of us. I think He made sure i got preggo before i left to a hostile country where God knows what could have happened to me

I kept having nosebleeds and random cravings in the middle of the night for sushi. It all came to a halt when my fiancé said he knew something was wrong when I didn't want my stuffed shrimp, crab legs or lobster tail he made me take a test and it was positive all three times later

Well about 3 years ago i kept getting grapefruit sized systs on my ovaries that had to be surgically removed until about a year ago they didn't catch one in time and it ruptured. The doctor told me i had a slim to none chance of getting pregnant, and if i did i would never carry the baby to term. So needless to say me and my fiance weren't trying, but we weren't using protection either since almost all condoms break me out and hurt really bad, plus I can't take birth control due to the fact that I'm allergic to the hormones in about 85% of them. Sooo when my period was MIA I didn't think anything of it...or when it was MIA again...or AGAIN. My mother literally locked me in the bathroom at 6 in the morning with a pregnancy test and wouldn't let me out until I "peed on the damn stick!" It came out positive. Woke my fiance up to tell him and all he could think to say was "Where the hell did you get that thing?!" Went to the doctor the next day, they confirmed it, and I'm now 39 weeks me and my fiance couldn't be happier, and it feels good to prove the doctors wrong lol

It was new years eve and it was the first time me and my bf had sex with out a condom.... and about a weeks and a half later he was like ive been sleeping A LOT i must be having a baby i said unless you cheated on me and got her preg her not having no baby. that month my pd didnt come on time and i was sleeping a lot but i was also working a lot of closing shifts at work and i told him i would take a test jst to prove him wrong i took one when my pd was a week late and it was pos. i said i maybe false took one a week later and it was positive again.. then all the diff signs came but i was still in denial especially since i didnt have a pd for two months and the test at the doc came back neg. but i am now 29W1D with a healthy girl

Lol....during a lap band consultation physical my friend got the lap band and I wanted to inquire about starting the process he ask my last menstual n he said we better do a preg test even though I was only a few days late at that point n sure enuff it was + ......lol

@JasminGN yes my 3rd baby on birth control. wanna know how that happened??.... my doc is so wonderful to advise us that i am immune to birth control. i laughed when she said it but she was dead serious. so i got more comfortable with this pregnancy i asked her what my options are. i have had some health issues and surgeries that put me at risk with some b.c.'s like implanon, any kind of inserted birth control. so she tells me "the only way to make sure you don't get pregnant again is to either have your husband get a vasectomy or you get your tubes tied." i cried... why? well, my doc does NOT want me having another surgery because of my health issues and the fact that i have a serious condition. but hubby and i MAY want one more- within a few years. we just want guarentee that we can go those few years without unexpectedly getting pregnant- again! and if we decide another kid isn't for us we will get him the surgery. but dang, ya know? it's frustrating. and my brother thinks we are just irresponsible.

@lae3 i know how you feel. my daughter was 9 months old when i found out I was almost 4 months pregnant (I was breastfeeding and on birth control).

I was in my night class and had a heat flash... only one... BUT with my daughter I had had them a week straight, same times every night like clockwork.... So I took one the next morning and it was like less than a minute and it popped up pregnant. I just stared at it for like an hour. I took a second one an hour before my hubby got home and made him sit on the bed with his eyes closed. I held it up to his eyes and told him to open them.... Surprise!! Lol...

@lorinrene lol i always got mad when i'd go see the doctor for check ups and theyd always have me do pee tests for pregnancy. I was never sexully active when they told me lol it seems like you got lucky, imagine what could have happened :O

@ahendricks09 lol i was in denial with my tests too...like hella in denial. even with the ultrasound showing a baby in my uterus with a heart beat, i was tripping.

@jessica_clayton wow, the cysts didnt prevent God's plan of you being a mommy. So may mothers ttc would be excited :-) Congrats! And it's always fun proving doctors wrong lol

@1stTim3MommY lol my hubby would be tripping too if i would all of a sudden get nose bleeds and stop wanting my fave foods

@lilbit01_209 lol i took more than one test to see if it was a real positive because mine too turned positive within seconds. When my hubby made me take one in his precense cuz he thought i was kidding, I instantly say his face of happiness and surprise and i was like...is it a negative? and he goes no, we're pregnant!

@ahendricks09 lol my hubby actually said that the reason the baby kicks or pulls the cord is because its getting back at me for denying the fact im preggo lol

I found out by going to the doctor with stomach pains. They said they would do a pregnancy test I just kinda rolled my eyes cuz I was on the pill and had sex one time in two months. And every single time id go to the doctors for something they would say im probably pregnant even before I was sexually active. Well guess what....bfp. I was in complete shock on that one

@JasminGN I did it again cause I didnt know how long the results on the digital test would last and I wanted to suprise him. We had not been trying, but not not trying and it was freaky quick. My doc stopped my depo shot cause they though It had stopped me from ovulating permanantly. I didnt have any bleeding for 9 months and then little spotting... then my heat flash and bam!! Lol...

I was going to follow up on my birth control(depo shot) & they make you take a pregnancy test if you've had sex in between check ups & I came out pregnant. It was a BIG surprise because I had been on it for 4yrs & never got pregnant & then BAM! My little man is 30weeks now, I can't wait to meet him
