evening primrose

My midwife has recommended evening primrose to soften the cervix. Does anyone have any experiences with it? Just curious..

An oil capsuleshe told me to insert two before bed every night for a week to soften cervix. I was interested in anyones story of their experience using it.

I asked my doc about it today. He said not to do it bc the primrose could make me bleed...
I purchased some but wont be doing it.

I used it for a week and dialated 1cm but then my dr and I made the decision to schedule a c-section so I gave up. My ob was all for me using it.
