Elective induction

Today is my 39 week appointment. My doc offered to schedule an induction this week at my 38 week appointment. So I know it's gonna come up again.
My hubby is getting so impatient he's calling me names like baby hog . He's making me anxious too.
This whole pregnancy I've wanted baby boy to come on his own. But now I just want him in my arms! I'm tempted to schedule for a week after my due date to give him a chance to come on his own but then I still have a definite date.

Crossing my fingers that I'm passed 2cm 70% effaced today.

Fingers crossed! Wait it out there's nothing like the surprise of..."sh&$! My water broke!" or "Now, THESE are real contractions! It's time to go in!" He can't stay in there forever! Haha! Good luck!

Good luck hun! Inductions aren't as bad as people make them to be. Id go ahead and schedule one for when you want, baby just might come right before then!

I agree with @MommyOfTwoPrincesses! I had an induction with my 3rd baby, and it was the best labor experience and everything worked exactly like I hoped! Good luck!

My last two were induced I agree they're not bad. I'm very tempted to see if he'll schedule for the end of the week and still give baby a chance to come willingly. I'm praying I've progressed and he strips my membranes today to get things moving.

haha I completely disagree. My induction was horrible!! I started at nothing though, no dialation & not effaced. So if youve made progress it shouldnt be to bad!

If your going to make an appt to be induced id wait until your at least a week over just to see if your little one will come on their own

@pnsw524. My reasonable thought is with you. Schedule a week past my due date to give him a chance to come on his own which is what I really want. The impatient me says schedule tonight or tomorrow. Lol. Last appointment I was at 1 cm 60% effaced. Hubby made me get checked at the hospital Sunday and I was told 2 cm 70% effaced. And I've had my bloody show since then. So hopefully I've progressed more. Crossing my fingers.

I was induced 4 days before my due date because he said the baby was big. Mine ended in a c-section. Everything I have read says being induced increases your chances of ending with a c-section, I wish I would have known before. I would have not been induced. And my baby turned out to be 8lbs 5oz. Now I'm about to have my 3rd c-section! I always wonder if I hadn't been induced if I would have avoided a c-section!

Im at my 39 week check up right now praying to be induced Friday or Saturday! My husband leaves Sunday for 2 weeks training!

Okay so I think I've made my mind up. Hubby really wants to schedule an induction. I think it's getting to him wondering if it is time at any groan I make not to mention he wants it in a controlled environment from the start. My mom lives 4 hours away and I really want her to make it to see the baby be born. I've had two previous elective inductions.

My appointment is in 3 hours I'll keep you updated.
