  • I believe you can, and it can even be good cause you can pass on your antibodies thru the milk. But you can always call your Dr to check!
  • Ok thanks I was starting to worry. But I have tons of milk stored and formula for back up. Greatly appreciated ladies!
  • Yes its good to continue to breastfeed even if you're sick.
  • @rosiepie yes they actually encourage bf while your sick its better for the baby. And the sickness you explained sounds like it could be the start of a breast infection. If your boobs start getting hard knots in the or red spots on them you definitely have an infection. Bf as often as possible if you get any of those symptoms. You will get the chills and sweats and ach like you have the flu. good luck and I hope you feel better!
  • Yes its good to breast feed while sick cause it makes the baby immune. :) (*supposably*) idk not a doctor but I do know its OK :)
  • Oh thank u ladies so much I can't tag everyone due to shivering like hell..... wat about medicine anyone know??? Ill call my doc .. but does anyone happen to know ?? As a matter of fact My right one had little knots and is sore I fed her off it once but it was still sore. Never heard of that. @second_time_mommy7 and this is my second kid lol
  • Yes continue! It does help the babys immunity :) if baby got sick, they would nurse through the sickness as a sort of defense mechanism and make them feel better faster :)
  • @Bahamamama4828 thanks I actually feel better after feeding her. My shivers finally stopped and I'm not freezing anymore.
  • @rosiepie I just got rid of one. My shivers would come and go every 4 or 5 hours and after shivers I would burn up for a while it was a horrible cycle. I had the infection with both of my kids, sometimes ibprophene (sp?) Gets rid of it sometimes you need penicillin (sp?) If the feeling comes back just make a doctors apt. You can Google the breast infection or its called mastitis (sp? Lol) when it gets bad and if you catch it early it doesn't suck as bad! Good luck hun! Just keep an eye out for it.
  • i was always told it's best to breastfeed...it helps somehow? but of course i would call ur doc just in case.
  • Thanks once again @second_time_mommy7 I'll definitely take all Ur advice. I'm fine as of rite now still a bit warm but do feel alot better.
