  • I was somewhat induced with my first....they stripped my membranes at 38 weeks, I went into labor and went to the hospital around 330 am. I wasnt progressing so they gave me pitocin and i went from 3-9 in an hour i already had my epi so i didnt feel anything. They had to tell me when to push.
With my second I was induced at37 weeks 5 days. I checked into the hospital at 730 was dialated 3cm. They broke my water and asked if I wanted my epi for some dumb reason I said no that I would wait....well in Green Bay the same doc that delivers the baby is the same person that gives you the epi, so I had to wait for him to deliver a baby. By the time I got it and it kicked in he was already there...I had him at 1037am so I was in labor for three hours.
  • For my next I'm definitely gunna try no meds again ;)
  • @ash1la congratulations on 2 successful deliveries!! I'm very happy to hear neither resulted in a c section.. not to say anythings wrong with them.. I just don't want one.. lol they make me nervous!? But thanks for sharing!! :)
  • @caiti5 you can do it!! :) %%- I think this will b my only baby, my little man :x
  • I was induced with both pregnancies.

With daughter I went straight from doc appointment at 36weeks 5days. Was 2cm when she stripped membranes. By th time they started pitocin I was 3.5cm and got epi shortly after. Very easy labor.

With son went in and was almost 4cm before pitocin. Got it. 4 hours later water broke. I was 6cm and stalled. Baby was face up and she ended up stickin hands up thee trying to turn him. Had to use hands to force me to dialate to 10cm. Went from 6 to a 10 in like half hour after her help. Very painful but before then it was easy lol 38+2

Either way inductions weren't bad for me. Both babies healthy. I didn't eat much befoe becaue I didn't wantto get nauseated.
  • @missmommy28 thanks for sharing!!! ;;)
Happy to hear you have two healthy babies :D
N thanks for advice I'm so excited!!
  • I have a girl...I wanna try for a boy. No Mrs after 2 tho!
  • @caiti5 I would want to try for another but this pregnancy has destroyed and totaled my body n don't want to go threw it again.. I know that sounds selfish but I've hada lot of emotional issues threw this pregnancy ..because of it n I just don't want to put the stress on my family again.. :(

I was induced and had my twins vaginally 17 hours later. Find out if your hospital will let you walk (mine did). If so hold off your epidural as long as possible so you can walk and do things physically to help things progress.
  • No worries I feel the same way....I did not want a c section! And def don't want one with this being my last child.
  • Yea I totally understand...then you'll get to give all of your love to your lil Guy!
  • @jay_brad I was induced the 11 of august and wasn't dilating so was scared it would have ended in c section. They decided to stop pitocin to give my body a break and pray for dilation at 6am on the 12th. Took a shower that night, slept great, ate n woke up and restarted pitocin. Thank God they didn't push c setion. I had my Jemma at 6:58 pm on the 12th. :-) successful viginal delivery and only pushed for 45 minutes. Good luck im a ftm but my advice is: when pushing, have someone count to 10 slowly while remaining calm. Lol. They told me to push when I felt like it during contractions but hurried me . Thank God for my bf. Ha oh and don't forget to breathe.. I seriously was so focused on getting her out and safe that they had to remind me. :)
  • Aw thanks everyone for sharing!!! :)
