positive ffn test!

My doctor said I have a high risk for preterm labor and I won't make it passed 35 weeks. I'm a first time mom and very worried..I hope my little boy will be okay..

I had my son at 35 wks he's 9 now an very healthy. Just relax because stress is bad for u and rest.

I also have a pos ffn.keep your feet up and stay hydrated.bedrest helps.did u get thr steroid shots for babys lungs?

Yeah I got both of them. And I've been trying to just relax but its hard I always feel like I have stuff to do lol

Excuse my ignorance but exactly what kind of tests drs do to determine rather you have preterm labor or not?

@cristinalynn lol I think she meant ffn like effin so she didn't have to say the curse word..but I will still would like to know what test my silly dr give me tests but don't tell me the results unless I ask

Lol!! The fFN test is used for women between 22-35 weeks to are having preterm labor symptoms..it detects the likelihood of premature delivery.

@proud2bmommyagain ffn is an abbreviation for a test they do to determine if your at risk for pre term labor. I dont know how to spell it lol but you can google it. Its like fetal fibronectis or something like that. Ive gotten two positive ffn's

@cristinalynn you only get tested if your having symptoms of preterm labor..its more of a precaution test rather then a mandatory.

I went into preterm with my second, but that was 9 years ago. What would be legitimate symptoms of preterm labor? I'd go crazy knowing that, I'm sorry :-(

Yes, its called fetal fibronectin test. I was having severe back pain and was tested for possible pre term labor.(ffn).

@cristinalynn not too much different then real labor. I was having contractions at 24 weeks..enough to dilate me but luckily babygirl is still baking.ill be 34 weeks wesnday.
