Breast feeding question. Help?

edited September 2011 in Breastfeeding
Ok I'm only 22+4 but I know I want to try to breastfeed when Lily gets here. Problem is, I had a breast reduction in 06 and am afraid I won't be able to. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to stimulate milk production and when I should start preparing my body? I want my baby to get all the benefits breast milk offers. I just hope I didn't screw up those chances with the reduction. :-S

  • I had a breast augmentation and am nursing great. I think you should be fine.
  • Not sure either. So bump.

On a side note did you know when bf your OTHER boob also leaks milk?! Ive read up on breastfeeding and all the how to and have watched videos. And no one mentioned this!!
I saw someone posted 'milkies' or something like that that catches the milk so it doesn't go to waste. The ad commercial said the other boob can loose up to 4 oz!

    I'm sold. I'm buying one.
  • I had a full nipple graft done so that may make it impossible to breastfeed. @leggs2011 if I have success I'll look that one up. Thanks for the info.
  • the milk catchers are great to have handy!
