So both me and my finace are in the service. We meet during tech school and hit it off ever since. Once we were done he headed to alaska and I went to georgia (I'm guard hes active duty). He would come visit and thats how our perious lil boy came. I decide that I want to stay in but there are no position available in my career field in alaska. I want to b with my soon-to-b husband and raise our son together he told me that I should get out and n with him but I love being in the service but I want my family together....what should I do???

That's tough. Is their anyway to switch Ur career to something similar? I'm sorry. Wish u luck

Thats a hard one. Like romeike89 asked is there anyway to switch what you do? If not your gonna have to just listen to your heart and do what you feel is right!

What about changing your mos? Or they can't temporarily switch ur job to like an administration once ur married of course? I know it sounds easier said an done. Keep us updated good luck

Contact a recruiter (or similar) and find out if you're able to go active or at least change mos/schooling. My BIL went to the guard after his time was up, did a voluntary deployment and tried going active but they said they were only accepting certain jobs and they wouldn't pay for him switching(schooling). Good luck, depending on what they tell you, you've both got a lot of thinking and talking to do.
