Omg... your story makes me so scared... with my first son I had a horrible tear I dnt remember the degree but I did tear frm front to bck.... and during the healing process one of my stitches fell out b4 time so my rectum didn't heal correctly but I didn't need surgery & I was 16 @ the time... I hope that surgery goes well & yu heal quickly after...
Oh my gosh you poor honey! I only had a first degree tear and I thought that was bad!! I hope it gets better for you, that's a terrible thing to go through. You should try soaking a diaper in witch hazel, freezing it, and then putting it in your undies. I heard that works wonders, and there's no lumpy or pointy ice to hurt you. Good luck!!
@starrxoxo9 that's a good idea! I've been using small witch hazel pads, but not frozen. Also put epifoam on them.
My lower spine/sacrum is also extremely sore, I think from they pressure on it for so long. I also started having bad pressure & pain in urethra 3 days ago. I think it's infected, they tried shoving catheter back in during labor about 5x to make more room but couldn't get it in. I talk to my Dr hopefully tomorrow.
@August22baby how did surgery go foyer you? I have a consultation w/a specialist next week. Wish I could just get surgery now & have it all over with, but they won't do it this early.
Not to start drama or anything but have u ever thought about taking legal action? I told my husband about your story and granted is is not a Dr only a paramedic but he said it never should have gone that far and the Dr should not have ever hooked fingers in your babies mouth BC that stimulates breathing ....again I am not trying to start anything but I even had to convience him that your story was real BC he couldn't believe a Dr would do that. Then the first thing he said after I explained you were just looking for someone to relate to was that you should look into legal action....
@314babymama1120 My sister mentioned to me that I should sue too, but I'm not big into legal action & feel guilty bc I had denied the c section for so long when they offered it to me. I do knower to take civil action costs several thousands of dollars to do. I thought it was very weird when the dr explained to me what he had done & that he admitted to causing the tear in the rectum. I knew when he was doing it, that it hurt like hell but I didn't know what labor was supposed to feel like...
Update, I've slowly been feeling a little better each passing day. I have my surgery consultation to fix my rectum next wed. I obviously still have a hole between the two as all my gas & some stool still pass between. My dr did also prescribe me Wellbutrin for depression in what I'm dealing with.
I hope it continues to get better! I understand not taking legal action, and yes it is expensive. Maybe you could at least inform the hospital director or someone like that of his malpractice. At the very least it may keep it from happening to someone else. Good luck with everything!!!
@starrxoxo9 Thank you! I wish my obgyn had been there to deliver me...he feels bad. It sucks not having the dr you know & trust there at that time after 9 mo of waiting. This was my first so it will b quite a while before I'm ready for another now.
Im glad you are feeling better. I understand not wanting to look into suing, and the expense. Obviously its up to u but I know several firms will give u a free Consultation and some don't collect a fee unless u win the suit. Just something to think about.
