Novalee Jessica's birth story. w/pics. 9 days after lol
Its taken me so long to do this because I'm doing it from my phone. Lol. Well i was scheduled to be induced Monday october 24. I was supposed to go in Sunday night to start cervidil because i wasn't dialating on my own. Sunday at 3:45 AM i woke up with a terrible contraction. 10 minutes later another and 10 minutes after that another. This was the most regular they had been yet. I tried to go back to sleep but any contraction i had woke me up. I knew i had to wait until they were 5 minutes apart so i knew i had a long day ahead of me. My best friend and daughters godmom came over around 10 and started timing contractions better for me since she works in labor & delivery. I watched the broncos game while my husband cleaned. It was an intense game and by the time it was done my contractions were 2-5 minutes apart.
So we left!! Got to the hospital around 3 and i was 2 cm dialated. My original plan was to not get an epidural bc of a medical condition i have and that can compramise it. I labored in a tub naturally for. Until about 10 pm and then i was stuck at 4 cm. After a dramatic talk with doctors nurses and my family i knew i needed the epidural. I was headed for a c section and being at 4 cm i shouldn't have been in the pain i was. So i got the epidural and some pitocin and i was doing much much better. So we all hung out for. About 8 more hours and i started pushing! I pushed for 1 1/2 hours and Novalee Jessica was born at 7:52 AM weighing 7 lbs 11.8 oz 20 inches long on October 24. The real drama started afterwards bc i was treated like shit. I was talked down to and i felt like they thought i was a total idiot. It was pretty heartbreaking. I developed an infection bc i wasn't given the propet tools to clean myself until i was leaving. I'm never stepping foot in that hospital again. Only the night nurses treated me like a person. Id adk a question to anyone else and it was like why don't you already know this?? The lactation consultant was terribly rude and tried to tell me how to dress my daughter. I had her naked from our skin to skin and was gonna put her clothes on for pictures in 5 minutes so i could sign papers real fast
Not good enough for that lady! And she asked me why i didn't gey a medella pump. I'm like bc i don't have loads of cash flow? My bad for being poor. But its okay i had to go through all that bc it was all for this.

@myheartzx3 she is a pretty peaceful baby. I got lucky: -) i loved that outfit! And she can wear the pants anytime! Until she grows out of them. Lol
@angel26 id go through anything for her. Id do it again for her. But I'm happy i don't have to. Lol
