i want to know my options!

I don't want a needle in my back. What other pain options are there? Your experience?

Also I don't want pitocin, what other options are there if I need to be induced? My due date is today. I know about the bulb.

What have you gotten and what was your experience?

I tried googling. But I want to hear from fellow pregly ladies. :D

  • Nubain (through IV) took the edge off. I ended up also getting an epidural. I want to try this time to only use nubain.
  • What are the risks of Nubain do you know @babynumber02 ? I plan to spend most my labor at home so I won't have much time to ask all the questions that are now on my mind. Haha.
  • They gave me Nubain. It made me high as hell! Lol. But I loved it. Not sure of the risks tho.
  • Makes babys heart rate decrease as well as makes baby tired. I had that to help me sleep I had no idea it made his heart rate decrease. There is one that starts with an f does same thing. I was told after you're in labor the only thing that will help you dilate more is pitocin. To help labor start there is a pill starts with c i think. Pitocin makes contractions way worse so I ended up getting epi. Nothing will help with pain after pitocin except epi is what I was told.
  • I don't know the medical risks but it didn't make me tired and my babys heart rate stayed the same. It calmed me, but I also wasn't in tons of pain so that would calm anyone down. I can see how it would make you tired or slow a heart rate. It just didn't happen in my case.
