Sure, I had a c-section. It was not elective, nor planned. It was VERY last minute. I was exactly 40 weeks also. She was stuck face up, for 5+ hours.

If I could have a re-do, I would have told the nurses to shove it, and let me do things the way I WANTED (they told me no).

  • I like this too. I hope it spreads. I also had a csection bc my baby was breech and as a ftm the only midwife who would deliver breech babies wouldn't mine. Other countries see breech as a normal way to deliver yet we are still jumping to the csection. Csections are MAJOR surgeries and should be treated as such. Instead this country treats them as aomething simple. My recovery was not simple and neither was the surgery, we need to put csections back where they belong and that's for emergencies only!
  • I would say im.still recovering, almost 3 months later. Its still sore sometimes, the muscles arent all that healed. And when I think about my day in labor, it pisses me off cause its not how I wanted things to go. Mini vent, lol.
  • i am so with you on that one!
(ps. if you ever have another baby, as is posterior, squat squat squat! :) if youre able)
  • i hate the whole docs dont know how to birth a breech baby anymore when back in the day they were trained in it, now you have to search for the midwife who knows how.
personally, i am trained in it and know the correct positions to birth a breech baby and they even show them on youtube :)
  • but i do love how some of you are educated on this :-D
