spitting up

edited November 2011 in Babies
So Mavis has been nursing for some time tonight. She just delatched, so I started to pat her back so she could sleep. She burled then spit up...then got fussy like she wanted to nurse again...I figure if she spits up it means her yummy has no more room. This is the fourth time she has done this in a few days...is this common?? She is a month old.

  • if she gets a gas bubble early on anything she drinks aftee that will come up with the bubble is my understanding..my lo will do that sometimes I just offer her more she will detach if she doesnt want it :) just make sure all the gas is out
  • I've learned my baby always spits up unless I burp her afterward.
  • My daughter is the queen of spit up. Some babies just do it. Just make sure she gets plenty to eat.
  • Very common! My son has reflux and spits up atleast once every feeding and I burp him after every few minutes!
  • She had never done it before so I was confused
  • common, do you have an overactive letdown?..good thing is by the time anything is spit up, some of it has been absorbed..thats how fast breastmilk digests :)
