Attn: nursing mommas!!

Target recently humilated a nursing mother and told her their policy is family friendly and basically above the law and that is nursing mothers can't nurse in their stores unless in the changing room. This women was wearing a cover too btw. I can't link the article from my phone but you can google and you'll find it fast. I guess there has been incidents similar to this at Target. So on Dec 28th their will be a nationwide nurse-in starting at 10am. You can check out the Target Nurse-In facebook page to see if your city is on their and connect with others. I'm doing this not only bc of this incident but bc of the general publics veiw that nursing is something to be hidden. People thinks its unnatural and gross and I want to change that.

    Wow, I'm going to look into this. What pisses me off is we use covers and it isn't like we are walking around with our boobs hanging out, I see more cleavage from teens and their low cut shirts!!!

    Just posted to my fb page. I will be traveling that day and end up where they don't have a target, but I totally support this. I have some gfs that will probably go though :)

    I do not understand why boobs are plastered everywhere (movies, commercials, magazines ect.) but when used for there purpose no one wants to see that! It really pisses me off!

    Yea it blows my mind when did nursing go from the natural normal beautiful thing it is to something people consider taboo and gross that needs to be hidden. Even worse were the comments people made on the article many were completly unsupportive and very negative and some even compared breastfeeding to masturbating or urinating! A change needs to be made. I understand now why so many women chose not to breastfeed bc they are terrified of the horrible reactions they'll get!

    people are retarded. I nurse whereever my ba y is hungry f everyone else I even walkaround the mall nursing her! if im around a target ill go & im NOT bringing my cover! I live in hawaii tho I dont think ppl care as much here... idk tho @myheartzx3 do you think ppl care about bf in public here?

    Yea its probaly not as big a deal in Hawaii, us mainlanders are too uptight!! But U did see Hawaii on the list of places participating on the facebook page! I can't wait to do this. I guess I'm confrontational bc since I've read about this lady I've kinda gona outta my way to bf in public! Lol! Yesterday I started in Carters and walked through the parking lot pver to kohls and walked around bfing there!

    I am so glad you shared this. I wish bfing would not be seen as the weird thing to do. It should be normalized. Maybe this nurse-in will help a bit!
