Should it still hurt?

edited December 2011 in Health
I am 11 weeks pp and my hubby and I finally had sex last night and it still hurt. I figured for sure everything would be fine by now. Should it still be sensitive down there? When did you ladies get back to normal?

  • I'm still not normal because I'm breastfeeding and its like sand paper lol had my baby Oct 20th
  • I have almost a 4 month old and it still hurts
  • My daughter is 6 months old, and it still hurts for me... I did have quite extensive tearing though, so that may be why.
  • My baby was born Oct 28 I had no tearing or anything an still hurts for me
  • My son was born 10/12/11 & I only tore a little bit & it still hurts for me.
  • Failed VBAC and C-section on 12 Oct and still have severe pain... hubby actually stopped cause he knew I was hurting... I even bled a bit... It takes time and we had to slooooowwww down.... But I also dont naturally lubricate, never have, so now its even worse...
  • Well it might have been because its the first time since I heard some people say the first time is literally like the first time ever for some people that's the feeling. I'm sure it will get better just tell him to be more gentle next time :)
  • I had my baby on aug 25 and it hurt until a week ago. I haven't done it since then so idk if it was a one time thing, or if im finally done hurting! I sure hope so. This is riDONKculous.

  • Thanks ladies..nice to know it wont hurt forever! @RileyAndMe yea I waited a long time...the thought of anything going in there after he came out did not sound too thrilling for me! I finally just gave in!
  • I'm 12 weeks pp and we've done it about seven times and it still hurts. Good news though is that it's gotten easier each time. I tore a bit and ended up having an episiotomy. I just have to remember to keep doing my kegels.
  • I am so glad to read this and know i am normal! 8. Weeks gone and still hurt but not had sex yet, i am utterly terrified!
