preemie diapers

My bestie just,had her baby yesterday and her baby is tiny shes 6lbs 3oz and 17.5 inches. For some reason the hospital is only giving her size 1 diapers and the baby is floating in them. I wanted to get preemie small pack bit it says on the pack its up to 6 pounds and she's just a little over that. Should I just get them or should I go for newborn pack?

Go for the newborn pack. My lo was 6lb 3oz, they were fine. At 2 months she is now in size 1 and 10lbs!

Ry dropped to 6.8lbs at discharge and we just folded his newborns for about two weeks
