The "evil eye"... Superstition?

Do u guys think someone can give a baby the evil eye? When I came home from work my MIL said my LO was fussy all day and that she thought his tummy hurt. So I went and got him gripe water. But then she asked me if he had recently gotten a scare bcuz he was also jumpy all day and she said babies act that way it might be…
