Does anyone else have a tilted uterus?

I have been told I may have problems TTC because I have a tilted uterus. While it should not be impossible for me to conceive, I was warned to may take a while. (Rather TMI point next--) She suggested the doggy style position to help, given the position of my cervix and uterus. Does anyone else have this same issue, and what other suggestions do you have/have you heard?

  • My sister had a tilted uterus this is her 3rd pregnany. The only complication she had was pain during intercourse after conception she's 27wks.
  • The doctor told me that too and honestly my husband and I have only been trying since november and I'm 7 weeks now so I don't think it matters. I have also been told I have a heart shaped uterus whatever that means! But do what u like to do cuz I don't think it really means u gotta do it a certain way, we didn't!
  • I'm tilted and it took one time off the pills.
  • I was told the same thing in April of 2010 when I went on for endoscopy surgery to have my endometriosis removed...I was told even though the endo was removed that I might have a tough time getting pregnant due to a uterual tilt.... I conceived two month later in June. My Dr. now says that after this pregnancy the uterual tilt should fix itself. Good luck with ttc.
  • I have a tilted uterus and had no troublw im sure its difeerent for each person tho....goodluck!
  • I have a tilted uterus and it took us almost 2 yrs to get pregnant. Whether or not it was because of my uterus I have no clue. But one day we decided to "bast" as my husband referred to it where after he did his business in me I would put a pillow under my hips and sit and "bast" for like 30-60 minutes. It started off ad a joke but the first time we did it we fell pregnant
  • I have a tilted uterus and expecting my 5th baby. No problems getting pregnant at all.
  • I had a tilted uterus sometime ago, but I don't know... or I haven't heard that from the docs recently. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I used to wear heels a lot, I laid off them... but I got prego just fine. What worked for me is what @kayleigh27 mentioned... I didn't use a pillow to hold it in... but I just laid there after and went to sleep and didn't use the bathroom after... it worked fine...
  • That makes so much sense.. I tried for years to kinda get preg, but never happened til now. At my first appt I foubd out it was tilted. I'm 22 only, but I wanted a kid since I was 18. God makes the call, not me. Lol
  • These have been really great comments, ladies. I really appreciate it! I am glad I am not the only one, and I am grateful to hear about both the tips and from those of you who have had no problems getting pregnant!

For those of you who have conceived with a tilted uterus, did you have any problems with the pregnancy?

@Ashley88 @kayleigh27 I will definitely have to try those tips our next TTC attempt.
  • I am 18 and 29 weeks pregnant as of now. I was told by my OB that I have a tilted uterous. Many people have different opinions. I was told I was lucky I even got pregnant, but my doctor tells me its normal for some woman to have a tilted uterous. Wish you the best luck.
