i stopped breastfeeding and im in pain

Ohh I'm in so much pain, my breasts Are huge and they really hurt, i just stopped breastfeeding yesterday and it is really painful. Please ladies what can I use to help with the pain. Can I take paracetamol? I just found out I'm pregnant and I don't know what to take to help with the pain

I've heard that cabbage leaves help dry you up faster. I'm not sure what paracetamol is, but you can take tylenol.

Yoü can take two paracetamol but I think thats it but also dont touch your boobs when yoü wash because it will stimulate milk to produce

They advise against hot water because it stimulates milk production. Cold compresses will help relieve inflammation. A good tip is to run two diapers under cold water and freeze them. They mold to the shape of your breasts.

In the shower, keep your back to the warm water to avoid further engorgement

I would pump just to relieve the pain then it'll slowly dry up. I never had pain after I stopped breast feeding cause I did that.

@chelles you don't have to stop breastfeeding because you're pregnant. I'm pregnant and still nursing my son.

But it should be a weaning process. Pumping less and less over time so your body stops making as much.

I quit breastfeeding without weaning and it was the worst pain of my life for a few days and I did use the cabbage leaves it really did help and the coolness felt good

Be careful you do get mastites (could be spelling it wrong.)

Here's a good wives tale that my grandmother gave me that actually worked for me.

Go to home depot or OSH and buy a 40 cent red brick. Go home and put it on a cookie sheet. Heat it in the over on 450 for 20 mins. Take it our and milk your breast onto the bricks. You should hear the sizzling and possible steam or smoke.... Empty both breast. You may have to reheat the brick in thevmiddle of switch.breast.

The next morning when you wake up you will be dried up.

Lol.. it worked for me.. LOL

Thank you ladies, he didn't want to feed anymore so it looks like I'm quiting for good. On the bright side my breast dosent hurt anymore
