Formula feeding?

edited March 2012 in Pregnant
I'm formula feeding my daughter with powder formula, and we bought bottled water for her bottles. Do we still have to heat it up if its room temp? My mil said something about water spoils? Heeeeelp.

  • Water spoils? Hmmm... Im not sure about that. The formula after it us made is suppose to b used or thrown after a certain length of time. Room temp is just fine.
  • I prefer to warm my children's milk. I have found it to help with alot of gi upset.
  • My daughter will not drink more than a oz or 2 if her bottle is not HOT.

I use distilled water at room temp. As far as the water going bad, I know the first gallon of distilled that we bought, when we got down to the bottom, it looked really cloudy and odd so.i didnt give it to him. Now, we go through it so fast, it never does that. Maybe thats what she meant
  • I always warm Evies bottles, she does take them at room temperature on occasions where im away from home but enjoys them a lot more when they are warmed through.
  • I use room temp cuz wen we leave to go sumwhere I won't be able to warm it
