How to soothe sore throat?

My daughter is 1 and a month she has a cold and she keeps sort of choking in her sleep and is drooling because her throats sore anybody know anything that will help?

    At that age only over the counter suspension meds. Too young for cough drops with sore throat soothing.

    Elderberry syrup! Its the best stuff ever. She's 1 yo right? If you have a Kroger/Fred Meyer check the natural section or a health food store.
