Exotic-dancer moms
(or strip-club cocktail waitress/bartender moms). I was just wondering if we had anyone in our pregly community...
Let me just start by saying I in no way want to get into some stupid morality debate, and I have no intention of passing judgement (quite the opposite actually). I cocktail-waitressed in my early 20's. During that time I noticed that a small majority of dancers were doing it as means to support their children (some were single moms, some were not), a smaller group were doing it to put themselves through school, and an even smaller group were "party girls" who just wanted to make good money while working as few hours as possible (which most accurately described me at the time...though I did eventually put myself through school). That being said, I would be surprised if we didn't have at least a handful of dancer-moms in our community (also because most of the dancers I knew spent a lot of time backstage on their phones...lol). However, I can't recall any ladies mention that they have danced (either before or after pregnancy). Let me also say that if my family ever fell into a less fortunate financial position, I wouldn't hesitate to strap on a pair of stilettos (even though I'm the least coordinated person on earth and would probably wind up with a broken neck...lol)

But that would be AFTER ... I applied for every job on Craigslist list 4 times, hit up all the staffing companies and sold majority of my stuff. It would be a do or die situation. The very last straw.
I have 3 girls and a boy and I would never approve of them doing it... (matter of fact this was a precious post.. Would you support your child stripping?)
So I guess in a do or die situation... I would have to.
But there's no sex in the champaign room... LOL
If it wasn't for being pregnant, I most likely would have decided to dance while going through school. The money gap between us waitresses and dancers was insane and not worth it at times.
Personally, could I do it? Absolutely!! My views of strip clubs are different because I live in a state where full nude is illegal, so you're only dancing in a thong and pasties covering your nipples. I would dance here in Utah, if I had the body for it. I don't see it much differently than prancing around in your underwear for a photo shoot or modeling lingerie...that's basically all it is here so it's not bothersome to me.
In regard to the "if I had to" scenario, i totally agree i would exhaust all the resources I had before dousing myself in glitter and body spray!!!
As for "no sex in the champagne room", in my (limited) experience there really was none! Prostitutes aren't going to work a 6-7 hour shift that's emotionally and physically demanding not to mention painful (next time you meet a stripper, look at their legs...they are typically covered in bruises), when they could just work an hour (or less) through an escort service. Plus, if the dancers catch any girl trying to pull some "tricks", they'll chase her out of the club like a pack of heyeinas (sp?) because they don't want to compete with someone (or be mistaken for someone) who is "for sale",
