  • Jk, making sure you werent dead..

Benadryl is safe, but makes you exttremly tired!

I took a dose one day at noon & I slept all day while Malia was with me playing on the bed! I felt soo bad that I couldnt stay awake to really attend to her. Just long enough to feed her & change diapers.

As soon as I'm done breastfeeding, gunna take a dose Just to sleep! Lol.

Try taking one pill instead of two, shouldnt make you as drowsy.
  • My doctor has me on flonase.
  • @Caroline8_p haha hello :) an thanks. Benedryl is a great sleep aid. Does the medicine pass thru ur milk an make baby sleepy :( i dnt want him to b affectd
@Conreeaght is that a nasal spray? Do u need a perscription? Does it help?

  • @Homebirthadvocate i nevr wlda thought bout that but it does make scence. Thanks for that bit of info :)
  • Ya try to avoid meds that dry up mucous. Saline sprays are OK or neti pots. There's elderberry syrup for the cold aspect of it. I love it because its safe for my kids too
  • @Bahamamama thanks. Ive nvr heard of elderberry. An neti pots gross me out lol
  • Lol haha OK then saline spray
  • It is a spray, I love it and yes it is prescribed. It reduces the swelling of your nasal passages (they swell with allergies) so the yucky stuff can flow out easier.
  • The neti pots seem gross but are actually very easy and work wonders. I speak from experience lol
