Please help 4 month old sleeping

edited April 2012 in Babies Health
Ill take any advice i can get. My 4 month old had acid reflux and the dr told me that elevating his head could help so he slept in the swing, well now thats the only place he will sleep im trying to transfer him to his crib but he wakes right up or only sleeps 15-30 minutes idk what to do i know the longer i wait the harder it will be but i really want to switch him asap. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!

  • Have you tried letting him sleep on his tummy? I know you're not supposed to but my son is 6 months and he won't sleep any other way.
  • Bath before bed time, feeding before bed time, shorter/less naps during the day, lots of play time, reading before bed time, and singing them to sleep should make it a lot easier. The best advice I can give is be patient and persistent, doctor says it can take a few days for the baby to adjust. It took about a week for my daughter to go from co sleeping to sleeping in her crib.

  • Have you tried wrapping? My 6 month old has recently become a crappy sleeper and it was suggested that I try wrapping her again and she then slept 9.5 hours lol
Also resting your hand on tummy (or back if laying on tummy) and gently rocking or patting can help.
    Goodluck
  • Chiropractic adjustment!!!
