Craigslist Concern

So I want to purchase the insanity DVD set and found a deal on Craigslist, brand new, factory sealed supposedly. Well, the seller says he will deliver it but I would prefer to meet him at my Wal-Mart and play through the DVDs. I don't feel comfortable inviting some stranger into my home. Criminal minds set me straight. My boyfriend however is saying I'm wasting time doing that, plus its an overcast day. I DON'T CARE! WWYD????

  • I'll say do what you feel safe. I would be OK with the guy coming over if my husband was home and they did the exchange outside.. I wouldn't invite him in.
  • Yeah I'm gonna go ahead with my gut. We r set to meet in the shopping plaza so that should be okay and my boyfriend is "strapped" lol so we should be okay....
  • I always sell/buy at the gas station right down the street. Then I drive around a lil bit and make sure they aren't following me.
  • I have had people in the house while selling stuff, but I am always packing while they are inside.

Ive only went to someones house twice. the first time was because it was a military housing neighborhood. i couldnt even get through the gate without the people calling up and telling them i was coming. that made me feel pretty safe.
the second time was because i was picking up a crib and they couldnt fit it in their car to meet. Other than that i only meet at the Walmart down the street. Ive NEVER let someone come to mu house tho. Not even when i sold my car.
  • sorry about typos..I have the lo in my arms and shes trying to type too. lol
  • I've only let someone come to my house when I had to rehome one of my cats. And I've been to 2 ppls houses before, but always had my bf do the transaction.
  • Make sure tou check your surroundings so they won't follow u home
