Great question! I am due in August and I want to have some time in between shower and delivery to buy the stuff we didn't get but don't want to do it too soon. I'm thinking June or July maybe end of May...
@shika that's when my friend did too... but I was hoping what I didn't get at the baby shower I'd be able to go get ..not if I'm 8mnths ill have to have my bd or someone drive me...ugh I hate depending on people!
@Maggie the baby's dads family lives in another state I was thinking of having 3bby showers anyways cause one for his family...one for mine... & one for friends ...Idk though .@shae that sounds reasonable good idea! @mama2bee that's why I'm thinking of having multiple baby showers
@jay_brad we live out of state compared to everyone else. We are just having one big one and traveling to them. Make sure get early enough that you have time to unpack and go get the things you need but didn't get.
I had mine at 28 weeks and I'm glad cuz I wouldn't have enjoyed it if I had it now I'm 35 weeks. Plus it allowed me to go shopping for whatever I didn't get.
With my first one I had a shower one month after the baby was born. In my culture its tradition. It's a celebration of his life. This one, I was going to do one 2minths before my due date but then we will be in the process of moving. So one month after is when I will do it again.
@jay_brad trust me won't regret it and if you wait until you're so uncomfortable and swollen you will not like the party at all lol besides you never know when you will go into labor. I'm also going to have a party when my son is about a month and half its traditional in my culture.
My cousin had her 2 weeks before baby was born that's only because the baby was a month early. Then she had another one after baby waa born because she lives a little far so her side threw one their our side. She said next time she's gonna do it 2 month before baby is due
I'm due sept. 18th, so I've already been told I'm having one at my job. Both my work shower and personal shower will be in august. I wanna make sure I get everything I need before the birth...
I'm due august 21st I'll probably have my shower mid july. Last time I had it too soon to my due date and I was sooo uncomfortable and swollen! My mother-in-law was talking about early august I said heck nooooo! Lol
I'm 27weeks now, I know for sure its going to be sometime in April or early May and its early March now we doing the planing this week, my due date is the 3rd of June
