am i being selfish...

edited August 2012 in Giving birth
My lo was born last Oct and had shoulder dytosia (sp) my consultant says I should have a c section as I have a higher risk this time around. I have had 3 natural births and don't relish the idea of being cut open. Especially as I'm gonna have 2 lo's under 1. What would you do? X

  • You're not being selfish! You know what you want.
Were you on your back giving birth? Sometimes squatting during labor opens you up and helping baby not get 'stuck'.
  • What is shoulder dytosia? All in all it don't sound good. I'd do the c section to me that is kind of selfish if vaginal birth caused your lo to have it. Jmo though.

  • I had shoulder distosia with 3 of mine & they never asked me to do a c section. I would say no.
  • I Google it.. I thought it was something that hurts the baby and can be long term. So I don't think it's selfish just do what hba said.
