does this make sense?!

Ok so me and my bf split up. We bought a TV together. He paid $200 I paid $200. This was for US.
Ok now..I got a new phone and he offered to pay for half of it. ($250)A gift to ME.

So I asked about the tv..if he keeps the tv I think I should get my $200 back because it was OURS.

He tells me..you can just count the $250 I gave you for the phone as the tv money!

What? Wait! That phone was a gift..not a loan! I dont owe you anything for that phone..so why am I suppose to "count that as the tv money?"

Am I wrong or does he just not make sense?

  • @bexiewexie that really pissed me off. When you buy people something as a gift you dont use it as collateral later. Whats HIS should remain his..whats MINE should remain mine. Whats OURS should be dealt with accordingly! And the bad thing is..we have 2tvs! If you dont want to pay me the money..why not just give me one and we call it even!? Hes moving back in with his mother..he doesn't even need both.
  • @bexiewexie he offered to give me the furniture becuz I had nowhere to put it! Dont try to hand me off the things u dont want to take along! He knows I dont need the furniture..my mon already has some for me. He will give me the furniture cuz he doesnt wana pay for storage! Men! I didnt even fuss tho. I just walked out. If its that important he can have the tvs!
