midwife question?

my question is: does ur midwife stay with u through the entire process? from time u get there til baby is born? just thought id ask some of u b4 i go to apt on 16th and sound ridiculous asking her. thanks in advance!

Mine explained that there are two midwives I would meet, and that either one or both I'd them would attend my birth. I guess they work shifts.
