  • I have suffered with bad acne all my life and I have some tips that worked for me before I got pregnant and continue to work.
Don't wash your face more then twice a day, other wise your face will produce more and more oil.
If you are using products make sure you aren't mixing different brands even using one brand in the morning and a different at night. They can counter act each other and make acne worse. (Learned from my dermatologyst)
I use hot water and simple dove soap. First I take a rag and get it as hot as I can stand and put it on my face to open the poors. After that I lather up the soap and gently wash my face, don't scrub hard. After that I rinse with hot water. Once I have rinsed the soap off I take a rag and get it very cold and lay it on my face to close the poors.
This has worked for me for years (I have cystic acne so trust me it will do wonders on plain pimples) and its safe to do while pregnant. Also as tempting as it is don't pop the pimples.
    I hope this helps.
  • THX FOR THE TIPS BECAUSE MY DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT NOTHING WILL WORK RIGHT ABOUT NA. BUT THEY WILL GO AWAY AFTER PREGNANCY..I WILL TRY IT THO! N SHOULD I USE DOVE SENSITIVE SKIN SOAP??
  • I'm so glad @LittleFae commented on this! My doctor also told me to pretty much get over it, that it would go away after pregnancy. She was nice about it though lol I'm gonna try this (: & @Kenyattaw41, my face has alwayssss been clear til now also, so I know how you feel!! Good luck!
  • I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! THX GUD LUCK TO U ALSO
  • @Kenyattaw41 the sensitive one will work just as well as the regular. I also stay away from heavily scented kind. Also be careful if you use moisterizer. I forgot to mention, I can't use it even the ones for people who have acne it always makes me break out horribly. If you use it maybe try taking a break for a few days or cut the amount in half. I know its hard with being pregnant and skin drying out but its worth a shot to see if it helps.
With this (the steps to wash), it won't work over night give it a week or two before expecting a difference. But I hope it works for you, I know what its like but it should help enough to make a difference and will also help your skin to clear up more quickly once you have your baby :)
  • Ok hun thx so much. I hope it works.
  • @Kenyattaw41 I hope it works for you as well I know how much it sucks and it has to be worse when you didn't have it before. -hug- good luck!
  • Yes it is!
