So ever since I was little I loves the name Scarlet and I will love to name my daughter that as her middle name but my husband said no because that is his ex girlfriends name (they were together almost 3 years) I told him it does not bug me if that was his ex name she is in south america but I love that name idk what to do

I wouldn't want a name associated with my or my hubbys exes. If he said no i wud respect that. There are lots of cute middle names!! Name a pet scarlet!! Hahaha

It just sucks I really lives that name since I was little and yeah I have thought about when we go visit his mom in Chile she will act all stuck up and think he named our child after her

I'm naming my baby Corinne Nicole. After it was decided, he said, "You know, I used to date a girl named Corinne." It doesn't bother me one bit. Do you know why?...because he married ME...he's having a baby with ME. If you love that name and your SO doesn't mind, then go for it! Don't sweat the small stuff. Scarlett is a beautiful name. my bf suggested the name angie...well we broke up for a minute 2 years ago and he dated some skank (sry i cant help it lol) named angela. so when he said angie i almost ripped his head off!!!!!!!! but in his defense he was listening to that rolling stones song a lot at that time so i know he wasn't thinking of her..but still...hell no...lol [-X

I really wanted to name my son charles joseph after my father, but my ex-fiance's name was charles as well (and he and my husband were friends at one point) so my husband said no. I was so sad. but I understood, so my son is liam charles (I had to fight for that, too).

Yeah we really have to sit down and talk about it everybody in our family says its ok and he just doesn't want me to feel bad just because its his ex but like I said I really don't care but if he doesn't feel comfy about it in the end I won't name her that he needs to think fast only 10 weeks to go

If we have a girl my husband want to namer her ema.. while we were dating and engaged there was this friend of his named enma she was always calling him and asking for rides asked a lot of him and they were jhust friends. You know how us women know when another girl likes a guy well it was soooo obvious she was into him. He cut off all ties to her when we got married but hell to the no we aren't naming our daughter ema its tooo close

The way we did it is that we tried comining our names or I chose the girl names & he chose the boy ones but WE BOTH HAD 2 agree on it
