You can safely have up to 12 ounces a week of shrimp. For the mercury concern, the bigger the fish, the higher the mercury content. Unless you are eating whale-sized shrimp, you should be good! The Mayo Clinic has a good article on what seafood is and is not safe (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pregnancy-nutrition/PR00109).
@mama_kat me too! I have been making shrimp creole like mad (it's from my betty crocker cookbook, I use salad shrimp and chicken and add cajun seasoning so it's spicy). If I couldn't have shrimp I would just cry...
Hahaha, my bf thought it was hilarious. He makes this amazing homemade alfredo sauce, & adds shrimp that's been cajun seasoned, & its amazing! He was supposed to be gone for two days & it ended up being a week. I didn't cry cause he had to stay, I cried cause ihe wouldn't be home to make it for me!
Lol @kriss82001, that doesn't sound pathetic all! I went to see gnomeo and juliet with my kids today and there was a preview for the new pooh movie and I burst into tears.
