Do u automatically get a 3d ultrasound or u have 2 ask 4 one?

I'm 28weeks and I want a 3d ultrasound.....

    Most places you have to pay for 3d ones

    Most OB offices don't offer 3d.. they don't even have the equipment.. you have to go to a 3d clinic.. & they are very expensive.. and its not covered by insurance :(

    Thats optional, and it is out of pocket, but if you want one, 28 wks is the best time to get one

    Yeah, my dr's office doesn't have the machine; there is a company near me that offers them for about $100 for half an hour and you can have up to 10 people come with. I haven't been there yet, but it says they put the image up on a big screen and have 'theater style' chairs.

    You would have to ask for it and pay out of pocket for it. Most insurances won't pay for it. My doctors office charges $150 for it.

    Both my regular ob and my high risk doctor do free 3d/4d. So it really depends on your doctor and the equipment they have.

    yeah, the place by where i live, its $100 and its a 45 min session, you get the scan photos and a 20 minute VIDEO of your 3d/4d ultrasound... the bed is like an actual BED.. the room looks like a bedroom (VERY NICE) and its got couches and a huge projection screen too :) its VERY nice.. lol

    What insurance do you have that covers it? I know that most definitely do NOT, as it's not needed. I would like to have a 3/4D, but my fiance thinks it's weird, lol
