Pampers r best when theyre newborn has the curves perfect for umbilical care, however when they get older n u use the "pampers cruisers" they dnt work to hold it in had many leaks w both my sons, huggies leaked out as well from the back as compared to leakage from the legs from pampers lol I used the members mark from sams club n they workd best n r cheaper! (n they come with more)
In my opinion, either pampers or luvs. They're boxy I suppose but they actually hold what they're suppossed to. When my son was born I used huggies newborns & every time he would pee I'd get wet... newborns don't pee that much at once, that should never happen. But it did. I switched to pampers, no problems with them, plus they have a nice baby scent.
Oh n luvs suck they made both my kids break out n they leaked lol so my advice is use pampers swaddlers for nb n 1 then after that u can experiment it is true that the pampers do seem to trick u into thinking ur baby is wet when theyre not lol saw that in a previous comment
Oh..i used playskool one time when we really need some diapers ..went to cvs and they were on sale..i was like ..oh let me try these...oh man they sucked!!! The velco sticky thing wouldn't even stay on!! They keep falling of my son ..just wanted to share that w/ you
@Mamato2boys..right i would think my sons diaper was really full..im like great i need to change it again ..take it off...what theres a drop in here!! Now that its already off..i have get a new one!
i think you should buy little packs and figure out which one YOU like best and what works best with YOUR baby. everyone has a different opinion on which is best. i tried out several different brands of diapers and always went back to huggies cause my son never leaked out of them.
I loved huggies with my son. Pampers always leaked on him. He was a big chuncky baby don't know if that made em not fit right or what but huggies gets my vote. I'm try some the generic brands this time like target & cosco
We used any combination of pampers huggies and costco brand diapers whichever I had the best coupons for when I bought them. Costco runs a coupon circular that almost always has $6 off diaper and or wipes. They vary the deal depending in the month. Also www.coupons.com usually has a coupon for huggies that is $2-$3 off so I check wihich store has them on sale (and check to see if I have a store coupon) and buy them in bulk on sale with coupons.
I used huggies and luvs with both my kids couldn't use pampers. I never had a problem with luvs leaking. When I have my baby shower my aunt is going to throw she is going to get a prize like a dinner for 2 aat a nice place and tell people that they get a ticket to wim it for each pack of diapers they bring her friend did thatat her shoer and she ended up with a ton of diapers didn't have to buy any for almost a year.
I used luvs and walmart brand for my youngest..... was a huggies snob for my first.....plan on using target or walmart brand for this one...... after i run out of whatever i get fron the diaper raffle at my baby shower....
I like Pampers. I like the stretchy velcro tabs. I bought luvs thinking I was saving money, but there size 3 fit like a 2. So the second half of the box is up in the closet waiting for this baby.
I wouldn't buy any newborns...my 3rd came home from hospital in size 1, plus you can take all the diapers from the hospital so if after those your babys still in newborns just get a pack at a time!
We also found that we like Huggies wipes best. I bought pampers 1 time cause we had a coupon and we used twice as many.
We buy ours in bulk at BJ's Warehouse. Oh and I'm somewhat knowledgable about this subject, this is my 6th baby, with my youngest being 2 and 1 and I'm due in May!
I used wal-mart beand for my 1st 2 daughters never had a problem, but they changed design which made them feel stiff to me and uncomfortable to the bby #3 so i switched to luvs. 8 really like them and enjoy the price
I use huggies, nb diapers don't last long, 3 last long.. But 5 last the longest!! My daughters been in 5s for the last 6 months ... I love huggies and costco is priced very well.. Do you plan on having a baby shower?
I used Pampers Swaddlers with my first two, and pampers Baby Dry once they got older (the Cruisers always left behind fibers on their butts and it just grossed me out. They worked fine, tho). Now they use some new formula--they call it Dry Max--that has caused chemical burns on a bunch of babies. Not enough that they'd pull it off the shelves, but my kids all have very sensitive skin so I won't risk being in that small minority. The Baby Dry don't use Dry Max, so I still use those on my 2 year old (only Swaddlers and Cruisers use it). For this baby I've bough a few packs of size 1 Huggies (they now have the unbilical cutout) and I'm going to buy a few Target brand (I think it's Up and Up) because I, too, have heard they're wonderful. I've tried Luvs, Seventh Generation, and one with Cloud in the name (I don't remember what that was) and they all leaked for me. Make sure you pay attention to the weight requirement for each size of each brand, they all use a different scale. And if your baby starts peeing through a lot, don't automatically blame the diaper--s/he may just be ready for the next size up.
I buy Pampers or parents choice Walmart brand much more affordable and still have soft stretchy straps that's my big thing cause huggies cut my babies legs.... you will get into a groove of buying once u see how. Many u typically go through. Always better to have more then less.
I always liked pampers. My daughter is in a size 4 now and i've been trying different brands. Walmart brand seems ok so far. Target brand was horrible and huggies i think r too bulky for a walking/crawling baby.
I think it depends on baby. I tried Pampers, Huggies and Luvs...it depended in what stage he was at and what didn't leak. Does that make sense? I basically used them all!
for my son, I always used Pampers and really liked them, but every baby is different. I agree with the ones who are saying to just tuck away money for when u figure out which works best for your baby. Good luck!
Instead of stocking up on diapers keep the money in a separate account I stocked up on my daughter only to find out she was allergic, I ended up giving them all to my sister....bummer! (but that's just my luck)
