That is starting to work out? I feel so fat, I bet I look ridiculous doing push ups. But seeing all the ads in the paper for swim suits and me at 27 weeks and an unfortunate 175 its getting to me...(I've gained 20 lbs! 98% is belly) I just don't want my hubby to loose attraction. Any one else going through this

  • Yes ma'am.....I keep reminding myself that its all worth it and the weight can/will come off after the baby is out ;)
  • I feel big too. Asked him if I was fat. He said no you look pregnant. Very wise man! ;) my advice be kind to your bodies, walking, swimming, light weights. It's gonna come off eventually.
  • My husband rubbd my belly the other morning while I was brushing my teeth an said ur startn to really poke out ther... I about spit toothpaste in his face... I've been walkn an eating as healthy as possible...with the exception of my choc chip cookie craving. An I drink lots of water
  • I gained 50 lbs with my first and I have been unable to lose so much as a pound (it's been 5 years and the ONLY time I've lost weight is during the first 12 weeks of my other pregnancies). I've tried dieting (calorie counting and weighing my food and everything-I was down to 1000-1200 calories a day by the time I got pregnant this time and I lost nothing) and exercise and I just can't seem to make anything work. I'm completely frustrated; I don't understand what the problem is. Anyway, I would def say that trying to stay in shape and making sure that you don't gain too much is a good idea. As long as you're not getting fat, you should have no problem losing the weight. I only gained water weight and baby with my second and it was completely gone by the time my son was a month old.
  • @jaime77 I asked my fiance if my arms looked fat his response "babe your pregnant" my response "my arms aren't pregnant" lmao
  • @breewashington08 look at what my fiance said to me in the post above. And my hubby also said I was "blowing up" and took a pic. Lol. I don't mind the baby belly but going out forward makes my love handles look huge (to me anyway)
  • @magcaw a diet that helped me is called grazing, small healthy snacks every 2 or 3 hours. Eat a yogurt or something while making dinner, you won't over eat. And run, walk or jog a mile a day, which is hard at first but the accomplishment afterwards is worth it. But both will help bump up your metabolism and light weight lifting to tone. I swear you will see results, just to keep in mind after baby :)
  • @pregoagainYAY I keep trying to keep that kind set plus I plan to breast feed so that should help. I want to get the konect for xbox to do zumba
  • I'm preggo with my 7th child and after i had each child i lost weight, i feel like I'm truly unattractive at the moment..but hey just 14 weeks to go. I gained 60 or so pounds with atleast 4 children and it scared me a bit, and now my Dr. Is telling me i gained too much weight I'm 25 weeks and 1 day and gained 20lbs so far, as i get older the odds aren't in my favor.
  • I think you should wait to go hard with your workouts until after your baby is here because you don't want to overheat your baby and somethin bad happens.
I'm 24 weeks and I gained 15 pounds and I had a hardcore workout before I got pregnant but I'm still takin it easy even tho I feel unattractive sometimes. I'm just gonna go hard when the baby gets here.
  • @MILF yeah I plan on going hard core after he is here. Some people say working out is good, so I'm not sure how to handle it. I'll have to ask my Dr next week
  • @mscheyla I did that for 6 months before I got pregnant and didn't lose anything. :( I'm going to talk to my doctor once this baby is born bc I'm actually a bit concerned about the lack of results. Stupid metabolism. :(
  • My bf told me that I have arm flab but only because I'm pregnant. I haven't even gained any weight yet!!! :'(
  • I currently work out about 4 days a week. I worked out a lot before I got pregnant and love it. I don't work out as hard, but I still do cardio for about 45 min and 15 min of weight lifting (light weight and high reps). My doctor encourages at least 20 mins of exercise per day
  • @mscheyla lol so........ i defntly just ate 10 pizza rolls and a cherry coke :-| ....so much 4 my water
  • @magcaw you never got the depo shot have you? It has prevented a friend of mine to loose weight and her son is 1

@cdswim thanks, yeah I didn't work out much before pregnancy, which I wish I had so I could do it. I went on a half hour walk last night and almost passed out when I got home. Do you ever get small
  • Stupid phone! Ever get contractions while doing cardio?
  • I am 20 weeks n have gained 30 pounds so far my bd calls me a fatty all the time n I'm only weighting 120 but the other night he said 'ur such a fatty ur tummy is really getting big' n I gave him a sad face :( then he said 'i think its sexy..u have our kid in there' Aww he deff saved himself there lol
  • @breewashington08 I just had 2 pieces of pizza and a diet coke lmao. Office lunch
  • @nicoleproudmommytob my hubby does the same thing.
  • @magcaw have you had your thyroid tested? I know women who have the same issue and it turned out it was their thyroid. Apparently you can workout all you want, but it wont help you lose weight unless you are on thyroid meds
  • i used to b a big diet coke fan but the aspertayme (spell?) is really bad 4 bby an i felt guilty lol not that regular soda is any bettr at all. soda is a terrible weakness of mine.. but ur lunch sounds amazing lol i could take down a whole little cesars pizza right now
  • @mscheyla. Nope, no contractions. No problems at all and I'm not a small woman. I even went to the first 30 mind of a cardio kickboxing class :)

@breewashington08 I didn't know that, my soda of choice is a fountain coke :)
  • @cdswim for some reason I get contractions when I do any walking exercise. But I push myself to do it bc I know the endorphins (sp?) Is good for the baby
  • Exercise thru out pregnancy is good for you n helps during labor... I was still in high school while pregnant with my oldest and I fully participated in my gym class, as long as you don't put strain on the abdominal muscles... N I did have braxton hicks contractions a lot n my son was born full term n healthy n not to mention my labor was only 2 n a half hrs... N even now with my 4th I'm a cna n have to run my butt off at times but I breath thru bh contractions n rest wen I need to...
  • I gained 30lbs with my first and lost 22lbs in the frist month after I had her. I felt wonderful and 30lbs with my second and about 30lbs over thr course of my 4 year marriage. Last year as my new year resolution I wanted to lose weight. So typical. I did though and lost 72lbs by Sepetember as planned. I was well on my way to the 90lbs I wanted to lose to be back to my high school weight. Then found out I was pregnant in November. Totally disappointed for about 2 months. Now I'm 25 weeks and have only gained 17lbs I'm on track and I eat healthy and I walk and play with my kids a lot. My goal this year is to just lose my baby weight. Before the enfd of the year the rest of the weight will have to wait for next year. So good luck and keep bur head up. It does come up. It takes some work but it is worth it to just feel good period.
  • @kfigueroa that's good to hear. Yeah I'm hoping for a smooth labor, I don't plan on getting an epidural
  • @newmommy17 I've never had my thyroid tested. I thought that hypothyroidism was caused by serious illnesses like Hashimoto's. I just looked it up, though, and apparently there is such a thing as postpartum thyroiditis. I feel like a total drama queen going to my doctor and asking to be tested for hypothyroidism, though.@mscheyla I've only ever used the pill, and I haven't even used that in years (I get really bad headaches and I used to smoke, so my doctor recommended that I stop taking it).
