My husband an I just got our kids a puppy! He's 6 week old pit/boxer. We named him Simba :)
I had a pit/boxer a long time ago an she was seriously the best dog ever. I'm so excited to see the kids grow with this puppy and create a bond between them. I feel like a complete family now, we have our babies, we just got a house an now a family pet!

    Omg he is seriously the cutest thing ever!!! Awww and you get puppy breathe. I think I'm weird I love puppy breathe and how clumsy puppies are! Congratulations but Im glad you get to potty train ;) he is adorable!!

    @mylittleman2011 thanks!! We're all so excited! I know I love puppy breath 2, an he's so little he can't get up our porch steps lol. Yea...potty training shld b real fun when the baby gets here. lol good thing daddy wil b around for that

    Its a pitty party today! Lol we haven't been able to have ours for the last year where we live but our neighbors who moved today and had been keeping her gave her back (were moving in a couple weeks) and the kids are thrilled to have her back. She'll be 14 next month, best doggy ever...she's in our family pic :D

    Very cute pic! And I like the name Simba. We got both our puppies when they were 6 weeks. My Golden Retriever was an adorable, clumsy sweetheart! Then we got a 6 week old Maltese pup, and she was more calm but still has that puppy mentality.

    There's nothing quite like getting a family dog as a pup! You get to see all his stages of life!

    Aw how could anyone say anything negative about an adorable puppy!?! He's too cute! I love o.p.p.'s (other peoples puppies) but you couldn't pay me to raise one right now lol my last two exhausted me on puppies for awhile! Enjoy him, I hope he turns out to be the perfect family dog :)

    Heres my girl... She was abandoned and we adopted her so were not 100% sure what breeds she has. She is posing here though for the camera and if you look closely she has a cat toy in her paws... Shes our dog-cat who plays with cats, pounces like the cats and plays with cat toys!!

    @mimii36 well I've already got some comments as soon as some people found out we got our kids a piit. I've done so much research lately on good dogs for kids, an evrywher I've read says, if u raise them right, they r great family dogs. An u can't help but to smile evrytime u look at his face. He's the cutest damn thing I've seen

    Ok, not saying this to bash or be negative so please dont take it this way.
    But, I cant tell if its the photo or not but Simbas left eye looks a little cloudy and can be a sign of future eye trouble. Thats how my dogs eyes looked in photos and she,went blimd.
    But, im not saying that to be a downer and a negative nelly,it can just be the picture.

    You have a very cute pup and congratulations on the new addition to the fam!

    We have a beagle named Vinny (almost 3yrs old) & a half dachshund/half westie named Haley (almost 2yrs old) :-D It's wonderful your kids will grow with the pup! My doggies are at a good age I think lol so when our son is a toddler/elementary, he can play with them & they won't be at the puppy stage anymore. You will have fun with your pup hehehe it's like having another baby to raise!

    @littlefae ur fine! Thanks for sayin something if that's what u think it cld b, I'm a new dog mommy so I don't kno much lol. I noticed his eyes did that in the pic, I wasn't sure if it was from the flash of the camera cuz it was dark outside. Its not always cloudy like that it jus did that in the pic. Also, I dnt kno if it matters or not but his eyes r still a dark blue, I was told his eyes will darken as he gets older?

    @rizzychick yes I've been told also how dumb I am for getn a puppy right now since our new baby will b here any day, cuz of it bein so much like havin a infant. But my kids r so eager to help out with the pup, I hope that last an its not jus cuz he's new lol.

    @breewashington08 - it could be but its so hard to tell, just something to keep an eye on if it continues to show up in photos where with other animals you get that weird red reflected "demon eye lol".
    For my dog it showed in photos before her eyes went cloudy.
    Just something to keep an eye on and could just be how that flash was :)
    Also the dark blue is normal it happens a lot with puppies and kittens and will start to change color starting around 8 weeks.

    He is such a cutie I want to pick him up and give him tons of kisses lol

    He's cute. I have a toy chihauhau & I think there worse then pit bulls honestly I got mine as a vday gift he was 6 weeks old he's one mean dog & only likes the people in our house. Lol he beats up my mil's dog ALL the time! I hate when people say pits are mean. Sorry but it's the owners who raise them mean! There tryna ban pits in Texas & I hope it does NOT happen cause I want one when my son turns 1lol
