Any FTM's out there scared of giving birth?!?

Of course Im excited & cant wait to meet my Misterz, but Im scared AS HELL, too :( Is that normal??? Like, going into the unexpected...not knowing whats gonna happen...if everything will go smooth...Im due on Saturday & havent had no contractions, no braxton hicks...my mucus plug hasnt even come out...my pregnancy has gone by super smooth...He's also my 1st...I almost feel like I want him to stay inside...lol...Im even scared of inducing myself (walking etc.) Anybody else? Or am i the only chicken out there?! :(

    No your not. I was suprised and shocked when I found out I was giving birth so please try to relax when the big day comes......Get your rest now because you will need,it

    I'm frickin scared out of my mind!! I think it's partly cause I am scared to give birth to a big baby (not that I know she's big yet) but my hubby was 10 lbs. People all me crazy when I say I wanna be induced as soon as I can and I wouldn't care if I had a c-section.

    Haha no your not! I'm due Sunday I'm dilated 2-3cm and I've been walking,I passed my mucus plus Sunday n idk when I'm hvn contractions I'm super nervous about giving birth but I'm ready you know?! Good luck @librababii

    @Ourlittlenugget thanx! im the same...trying to be positive & not nervous...but it pops up in my mind all over again! :(

    @New_Mommy2011 last thursday at my docs appt, i still wasnt dilated :( & i just spent 6 days working on my babies room!!! its like he's real comfortable in there...& i dont mind :(

    @jennalynne87 ive always thought im gonna have a small baby...i could sworn he would be here around 35-37weeks! yea right!!! but hopefully he's not huge!

    I'm also scared of the labor pain and needles, my heart gets racing when I can't breathe right at times. I'm just scared I might make myself get an anxiety attack and everything will go downhill from there. I am planning to do a lot of praying to help me ease all the nervousness and will be thinking in my mind about having the baby in my arms soon. Hopefully that helps and also maintain calmness.

    don't be scared! Labor will probably go just as smooth :) with my last two pregnancies I never lost my plug, waters or pre labor pains leading up either. It all just started with the contractions then came baby fast, hours later. U will be fine mama!

    :( I'm scared! I feel her really low but nothing yet :,( its like everytime I get a small contraction I get exited And scared lol but I can't wait to have her in my arms: )

    About two weeks ago I had overworked myself with cleaning, etc. and I started getting braxton hicks, back pain, abdomen pain, and spotting blood. It hurt bad and had to rest for four days to fell back to normal so I am scared of how bad the pains will be on the big day.

    thats how i was too when i went into labor
    i was shaking soooo bad cause i've only been to the hospital once in my whole life
    and it was just crazy but it went well at the end :]
    you'll be fine!
    when i started pushing i forgot about how scareed and nervous i was
    just wanted to meet my lil boy

    @librababii (1st off I love the title me & baby both r gonna be libras) I'm due Oct.6 and as of right not I'm not 2 scared but I kno once the doctor tells me I'm dilated(which I wasn't Thrusday) or I feel pains I'm gonna freak. I haven't had no symptoms & a smooth pregnancy, I feel the same way about walking & squatting, don't want to do it cuz I'm fine with my baby girl staying in a lil while longer!

    @MissQ_1stTimeMommy2B lol...thanx! i dont remember being scared last week...i guess it just creeped up on me since its getting real close...im scared of being induced...i guess cuz ive heard its more painful than going in naturally...or at least dilating urself & ur water breaking urself...idk...& im deff ok with having him stay in a lil longer! lol...

    @lindah22 ill prolly 4get about everything while in labor & just try 2 focus as much as i can...ill prolly be shaking too :/

    @jwrnjjp ive had anxiety attacks in the past...like 2009 early 2010...but i overcame all of that....but once you get hit with it, its hard & almost impossible 2 get back to normal...so im most likely gonna panic...hopefully i dont, tho...

    @FiirstTiimeMommy2b i havent had any contractions, but OMG he's suuuper low! i hardly have any belly up top...he's all on the bottom...ready to gooooooo...

    I was the same way. I was 39+5 when my water broke, I wasn't having any contractions or wasn't dilated any prior to my water braking. And even after my water I wasn't contracting hard enough for me to feel it or to get me dilating. After 12 of nothing they had to induce me. All together it was a 30 hour labor. But I felt ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN!! And I didn't even get an epidural. I guess my mind was more focused on meeting my little man.

    So don't be scared you'll do great!

    @YAYA that is EXACTLY what i want to do...be soooo focused that i dont feel pain! i know thats a lot to ask for, but i know its not impossible either...i just have to calm my nerves & relaxxx...hopefully i have a pregnancy like urs!!!! :)

    I'm terrified!!! My whole pregnancy I've been told that I was going to have a csection up until two weeks ago!!! I'm only 33 weeks but still I'm freaking out I was used to the idea of not having to go through labor meeep! My mom nor my sis have given natural birth so I won't have anyone in my room know what's going on

    I'm scared but I'm only 29 weeks do I still have time I just keep telling myself that most women go through it and decide to have more kids after so out can't be the end of the world but I guess I'll find out when I'm in labor myself :)

    @charliebby1116 yea thats crazy..to have ur mond set on something to have it now set on something else...but ive heard that the 'getting back to normal' time for a normal delivery is faster than a csection...so maybe not that bad...

    @jules i think the same sometimes too!
