  • I'm a ftm too. Try to not get the epi if you can. Check out natural childbirth the bradley method. its really opened my eyes.
  • Check out some hypnobirth and Bradley method books. And it depends on your hospital if they will let you labor in diff positions or walk around
  • @babyhamm , @bahamamama4828
Is it on you tube? Or where do I look the info up at
  • Library or book store. You can youtube some stuff
  • some online web pages
  • I would def get epi.. :) and go check out the library if you can.
  • Just try to stay relaxes even tho its gna hurt. The way u breathe does help out.
  • You can look up some breathing techniques online that will help you relax...also look up positions to labor in...
  • @brttnywstn14 @adri805 thank you :-) is It really a quick breathing pattern rather than deep breaths

  • I agree with @marinesangel that going natural is definately worth the pain! i think if ur gonna go natural u must commit 150% because if not ull get the epi bc the option is given to u. laboring in different positions really helped me. I also had a water birth-so if thats available you can look into that. Whatever method u choose-Good luck! Its all worth it in the end!
  • Its like long breaths but not deep or to quick like hyperventilating...ugh lol its so hard to explain :( sorry if that was confusing! Look on YouTube for videos that way you can see how its supposed to be :)
  • Epi makes your back hurt after for the longevity. The morphine makes you itch horribly after it starts to leave your system I had to have one for my c section when he put the needle in I was like damn this but what choice did I have
  • @mom2be , @marinesangle have you guys had an epi b4 and what part of natural did you think was worth it do you say that because of your more aware?
  • @brttnywstn14 yea I wish it wasnt so hard to explain but I figured that it would be I just wanna know cause I panic if I cant breath etc
  • @preggointexas dang I would b like wtd lol but I guess there really aint much you can do about it
  • @Paige11 Ive only had one baby and he was delivered natural. I made a decision that I didnt want to deliver my baby under the effects of any drugs or any unnecessary medical intervention (ie pitocin, epidural, c section, etc). I also didnt want to be on a timeline of when I should be at a particular stage of labor just for the convenience of a doctor. My baby and my body decided when my baby would arrive not an impatient doctor. The experience was definitely empowering and overall satisfying. To go natural is a very personal decision that every woman makes for themselves--for me it was the right decision but for many others its not and they still have very rewarding labors.
  • I didnt get an epi what helped me was too walked while I still could got in the hot tub couldn't use bubbles thou cuz of the monitors in my case and deep breaths and praying labor was hard but all worth it :)
  • I say go for the epi! Even tho im a ftm. Natural smatural! Lol
  • I ddnt get the epi.. Everybody was real proud :) i set on the comode at the hospital helped super and hav simeone rub ur back.
