first ultrasound? plz answer!

i have my first obgyn dr appointment tomorrow im 7w 7d tomorrow... will i be able to hear a heartbeat or see an ultrasound?! i really want to see an ultrasound! i cant wait i wanna know if ill get to see anything!!

    First appt for me was just talking with the nurse, but she did schedule the ultrasound for the next week. You probly won't be able to hear the heartbeat yet either, but should be able to see it on the ultrasound.

    My first appointment I just did paper work, blood work, & scheduled my next appointment lol I was like.. boo!!! So boring!

    I had an ultrasound at 7w I didnt hear the heartbeat but I did see it on the screen. Im 9w4d and had my first apt today, I had another ultrasound heatrate was 178 and I saw the baby moving.

    It probably depends on Ur doctor cuz I had my first appointment and they also did an ultrasound but I was already 8 weeks. Some doctors won't do it till Ur 8 weeks or more cuz sometimes if its to early they cnt see nothing.

    @moodymommie... u should be able to see the heartbeat if your seeing the doc and not the prego clerk... I had my first us at 5 weeks and saw the sac... at 6 weeks I saw my munckin and at 7 weeks, I saw the heartbeat... 7 weeks, I heard it and saw... on Thursday, I go for my first official us in the lab... good luck

    I have my first appointment tomorrow and I'm really hoping for an us!! Hope hope hope! I'm 7 weeks and havr a huge feeling its twins!

    @sara102011 depends on your doc I had my first appt at 8 wks and I expected an us but all they did was ask question and give me info I was so disapointed but tomm is my first and I finally get my us I made sure this lol but good luck at your doc tommorrow

    No ultrasound: ( i have to wait until 12 weeks. I don't even get to hear a heartbeat until then. Oh well. It will be awesome when i get it. Going through midwives which seems alright. They are all extremely happy about babies.

    I was 8w w my first ultrasound I heard the heartbeat &got to.see my baby... not all mommies get to hear heartbeat first visit though :) good luck :X

    On my first visit I was 8week & they tried to listen to the heartbeat but couldn't find it so they did an U/S & yep baby was there laying upside down.lol & they ask a lot of questions about you, your family history & BD family history.

    My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks and I saw the baby it was so small and I also got to hear the heartbeat, now I'm 15 weeks and at every appt. I hear the heartbeat :)

    I had a vaginal ultra sound yesterday. I had my first doctor appt last week. I am 7 weeks 4 days, and they usually don't do an ultrasound this early, but they definitely will, I had a ultrasound technician preform the us, and didn't see my doc after. It is a relief though to see the heart beat, I didn't hear it, but definitely saw it. And it is very hard to make out any human body parts, but still is nice to know everything is going ok. Sarah, I am curious to know if your intuition was right about having twins, keep us posted.

    My insurance will only do an ultrasound if medically necessary :-(

    mrs rodney, was my US not medically necessary? Just asking b/c my doctor just sort of told me to schedule one. I am wondering if my insurance will accept it, I do have a big deductible to meet so I hope it will be? Uhhgg

    honesly it epends on your insurence and your dr... my insurence only covers the 13 wk and 20 wk screeninings... and any if it seems like there is a problem with the preg. but i heard the heart beat on my first visit and its exciting every time... you can go pay out of pocket if your really impatient for a good price if you look around...

    At 7w5d I saw the heart beat and it was measured but e didn't actually hear it. Was a transvaginal took like 15min very uncomfortable, and they did the stomach one first for like 10 sec.
