Uhm....im mexican I heard about all of this my entire life.....also about the "ojo" thing...my mom always said if u go outside & sumone says "oh wat a cute bby or etc" and/or looks at ur baby....u "have to" let them touch ur bby....in order not to get "ojo"....im not a fan of any of this but to each their own
Btw; my son has a red bracelet but it has a dreamcatcher instead of a "deer's eye" thing....i "believe" in dreamcatchers cuz even bby's have bad dream....:) so yeah, we put it on!
I grew up thinking my house was haunted because since I was a kid I would get "held down" by something in my sleep...but idk if its some kind of sleeping disorder like some people believe it is or if its ghosts but I am so worried because my kids sleep in my old room and I don't want it happening to them

@lovemysofi@xkooxreex I'm Mexican too, I dont believe in that stuff but I dont like it when I see people staring my baby down. I have his black and red bracelet on, my inlaws gave it to me along with a deer eye to clip onto a blanket or something but its been sitting in my purse...can u imagine if someone sees it in my purse "oh whats this?" ...me: "oh thats just a deer eye"

I'll see if I get one. @excitedforoctober I didn't or don't really believe much in all these superstitions but this wknd this lady kept looking at my baby n saying "ay que chula" but she didn't touch her n after that my baby girl would sleep for maybe 5-10 min n she was fussy, she isn't fussy at all. Well my mom did that egg thing today n she's been sleeping like normal again since.. Coincidence, maybe? Idk... my mom n tia told me about that deer thing n I was like Pfft, u Mexicans n ur superstitions lololol! Then I read this thread so now I'm like hmm... maybe they're not so crazy aft all hehe. @myheartzx3 oh man, that sounds crazy! When I was a teen we had just moved to this apt n one night I was laying on my side n suddenly I felt this force n it flipped me around n I landed on the other side! I was all kinds of scared but then I went all Sixth Sense n was trying to talk to the "ghost " asking it if it needed help or something. I must've freaked "it" out cuz nothing else happened to me again. Anyway I wouldn't want my kiddos experiencing what u did either. Hopefully they never do. May they be blessed n protected.
My grandma is 84 yrs old & shes been seeing 3 mens in black suits (angels) shes scared they r going to take her. When she was at my moms a few Weeks ago she was sleeping on a twin bed but near the wall & my moms queen size bed was near hers & I guess those spirits couldnt get to my grandma & my mom said they tried to lift up her bed to get to my granny. My Grandpa saw three guys before he died
@MrsThompson34 my hubby sed wen he was a kid he was sleeping on his stomach an he woke up an couldn't move or scream or Anythang he sed he was screamn aw loud as he culd an nuthn was comn out is that Wat that means !!???
@excitedforoctober & @mrsthompson34 yes that's what's happens. I can't move or talk but I can open my eyes. It started when I was a kid and in 8th grade it started happening alot all the way thru high school it happened almost everyday. I went to this healer and it stopped for a few months and then it started again. She said it was spirits. Weird thing tho since my bf moved in it stopped. It happens to me once in a great while but nothing like before.
@Mrz_Jackson2anpreggo yeah i sleep on my stomach too and the first time it happened when I was a kid my face was in my pillow and I couldn't move or breathe. I thought I was gonna run out of breath.
@lovemysofi omg that sounds scary too! At least u scared whatever it was away. I grew up so scared I would try not to sleep. I'm hoping it was just me because it would only happen to me in the whole family
@mrz_jackson2anpreggo yes, just like @myheartzx3 was saying. My eyes was open & I can b yelling at the top of my lungs & nothing would come out & thats scary. I thought I was dying BC no one could hear me calling for help I think it probably happened twice. Once at my grandmas & once at my hubbys house where im living now n hubby was at work.
@myheartzx3 omg thats so scary! Isnt it called the "witch riding ur back"? Or something like that? I used to have many experiences in my childhood home, my older brother played the Quija board when I was small and I think thats what caused it.
@mrsthompson34 thats so crazy about the 3 angels ur grandma sees. Why does she think they are angels? I wouldnt have thought angels would be in black

@mrsthompson34 oh I see...when I was 12 I woke up one night to the shadow of a little boy standing at the edge of my bed with his hands together like he was praying, my grandma said it was probably was my guardian angel but I never thought it was since he was black...who knows!
See this freaks me out because my son has been so jumpy since I had him in august. He hates to sleep on his back, he gets sooooo jumpy and even the smallest sound will scare him and he wakes up screaming! Since about 2 months I have placed him on his back to sleep, he sleeps so peacefully now but he still jumps when on his back and he is almost 6 months.
@Mom2ING is that what it is? Once I got home from the hospital with the baby I would wake up feeling paralyzed. It felt like I was squirming but I really wasn't. Or I would try to be yelling at my hubby but no sound. Very scary! Thank god I did not cosleep at that time.
@myheartzx3 a sleep disorder? Did u only xprience it in that one room? Ppl told me I was dreaming or imagining but I know what I felt. @excitedforoctober that's a. Good idea or at least get some holy water n say the Holy Father prayer.
