Besides that, cow's milk is designed to make a calf gain hundreds of pounds in the shortest amount of time possible. I don't know about you but that is the last thing I want to do! People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them we don't drink ani…

Thanks guys! Sorry, @homebirthadvocate I completely misread what you wrote. We do give her some in a sippy cup but I am still producing way more than I need and since my mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer I want to pump as long as possible, e…

@caroline8_p thanks for the suggestions, never thought about using it for baths! @homebirthadvocate Well 1. She is allergic to both dairy and soy, so we only give her water and breast milk at this point, and 2. We don't believe in drinking cow's mil…

You need a "go girl", it is like a funnel that you can use to pee standing up. I saw it advertised on the doctors one day.

@inloveee thanks so much, we will try that too.

@victoriab I had heard that and we are planning on doing it since my dog loves to sleep with blankets. I'm more worried that he will get more depressed since our attention won't be on him all the time. He won't hurt the baby or anything but he just …

Awwe, I just had to put my 15 year old miniature collie down on Friday, the day before my due date and what would have been my grandmas 83rd birthday. We rescued him from a so-called breeder that was abusing him when he was a puppy. It has been a ro…

This is my first and the doc did a membrane sweep on Monday. Going back today for a stress test and they will check my progress. The doc doesn't want to do too much unless my cervix shows signs of being ready. @sheridanlm1991 Congrats on your new li…

@proudmomma I have been 1cm and 100% effaced with baby head down for weeks. Baby is ready but my cervix just isn't cooperating. Good luck to you!

I'm 40 weeks, due tomorrow, but my baby is measuring really big so I want it to come ASAP!!

My mother just loves drama! While most people try to shield me from bad news so I don't get upset she is the first one to call and tell me anything that might stress me out. Everytime I see her she talks about how swollen I am, I haven't had a singl…

@betty I am very blessed. I know all too well about hard times. I have had several miscarriages and was told I would never be able to carry a baby past about the 6-8 week mark. I had 2 sinus surgeries in july and the doctors think one of the meds I …

@blissmarie23 I'm actually in Virginia . . . Bluegrass is a nickname I got after I got married. My last name is Pendergrass and apparently the guys I used to work with noticed that I wore a lot of blue, they gave me the nickname 8 years ago and it k…

Thanks for trying to make me feel better guys! I'm still freaking out but glad to know I'm not the only one that has gone thru this. My family always has small babies so I'm blaming this all on my husband and his big headed family, I told him I'm us…

@vanessa_mom2b yes, vaginal is the plan and I want to go natural. I think that is what freaks me out the most, natural delivery of a 10lb (my estimate of what it will weigh in a week and a half) baby with a big head probably won't be very easy!

I think Serenity Belle is beautiful!

I'm due in 1 week and we didn't find out. It wasn't hard at all. My hubby wanted to find out but when my in-laws informed me that my baby had to be a boy I decided to be stubborn and put my foot down. Now, my husband is glad we didn't find out. He i…

Ugh! My sister did the same thing. I told her my husband and I picked out Jenna Vaughn or Elaina Riley for a girl. I had a m/c so when she got pregnant she decided to use Jenna Elaine. I told her that was both the names I picked and of course she di…

I hate to have my picture taken and I always get, "but you're pregnant!" Really, I didn't let people take my picture before but now that I'm pregnant that is supposed to change things? My husband's best friend told me that I would never m…

Thanks everyone! I'm going to write down all of these suggestions for after I give birth too, I'm sure I won't remember them in the middle of all the stress. My va-hoo-ha is very grateful!! :-)

@mommyof3girls my doc knows, my appt was late Monday afternoon so it has only been 2 days, if it continues into tomorrow they will get me to come to the office but baby is moving just fine so he isn't too worried.

Duh, didn't even think about diaper rash cream and I have like 10 tubes of it from my baby showers. I thought about cornstarch but wasn't sure if it would dry things out too much. Thanks guys!!

I have been told by several moms to use the Target brand. They all said that they were Pampers "snobs" until they discovered Target diapers. I'm sure it all depends on the baby though. Maybe just tuck money away for diapers until you figur…

My doctors office offers free classes given by a nurse who actually used to run a milk bank. The class was so incredibly helpful and my husband said he was glad he went with me. I know that when I'm in a panic he will be the one to step back and rem…

Thanks, I'm trying not to worry but its easier said than done. My mind eases a little everytime the baby moves so that is helping.

Baby looks wonderful!! Looks like I'm the only one banged up from the fall. They will keep me over night just as a precaution. Thanks for the prayers.

If you don't have milk try eating bread. For a while I made me 2 pieces of buttered white bread every night. I know its not the healthiest but it was the only thing that worked since drinking milk late at night makes my tummy hurt.

They didn't work for me but I was told to save them and use them during labor. Sugary lollipops can make you nauseous but the sour ones are suppposed to help you feel better and help keep your mouth moist during labor. Just don't use the drops durin…

Get that sleep whenever you can. I have 3 weeks left to go and haven't slept well in weeks. A few minutes here and there and the occassional nap in the shower until the water gets cold. The other day I slept for 2 hours straight and it was amazing! …

I'm due in 3 weeks and have been ready for a while!! Being a new mommy freaks me out sometimes but the thought of being pregnant another 3 weeks is unbearable. My family will be visiting me in the nut house instead of the hospital if I go much longe…
