  • @angeliaandme I agree with you.

    There is a big difference between TTC and accidentally getting pregnant at 17. Its easy for us who are older/or who have been there that young to tell her wait and think about it! Some people may not know how to exactly express their opinions..and it may come off as harsh..but at the core of it all everyone is trying to tell her to wait and live her life for a few more years before she decided to do this. What is the hurt in waiting a few years and enjoying her life with her boyfriend/fiancee/husband and just being young.

    And as for the comment that our grandparents/great grandparents got married and had children young..well things were different back then...the human life expectancy wasnt as long as it is now..and they had to have the children because most of them had a farm to run to stay alive and they needed the hands. Now a days we live longer, and dont all work on farms. Kids can be kids, teens can be teens...and with each year older you get more life experience.
  • @isaiahnjocelynsmommy I agree but this is a touchy topic and ppl only focus on the.negatives

    So can you share the positives of ttc at the age of 17?
  • No I was not trying to have a baby but having sex comes with the consequences of getting pregnant wether you protect yourself or not cuz as many of you ladies know birthcontrol can fail as it did with me.@angeliaandme & because I got pregnant I took care of my business and did what I had to do to take care of son.

  • Trying to have a baby at such a young age, in my opinion, is crazy. No one can say she won't be an excellent mother, finish school, get a great job, or anything...but why make that harder?
  • Ppl need to be careful putting their personal business up here and not expecting all kinda different reactions.. Good or bad....dnt say its bashing caz its not the answer you were looking for.

  • @angeliaandme I do not have any positives to comment on. My comment was for @lexi34 who was concerned about all the negatives. So I was opening the door for her to list some positives

  • And I again I repeat I havent said she should go ahead and try to have a baby just for the heck of it but I think sometimes these young girls learn the hard way and refuse to listen to peoples advice. I for one dont regret having my son young because having him helped me to grow up as a woman. Like all you ladies said everyone has their opinions on this subject and I actually think everyone of you are right in some areas.
    @isaiahnjocelynsmommy @angeliaandme @ashley_smashley

    @newmommy17 no one has said that its a positive thing for a 17yr ttc. Everyone just has diff circumstances in life and alot of people tend to only point out the negative in things.
  • @newmommy my comment was for isaiahnjocelynsmomy not u. And I basically was telling
    her that wat she was tellin poster wasnt bad but ppl seem to call it bashing or rude.the positives were telling her to wait..kinda dnt no where u going with this
  • @mommytobeagain I agree that people point out the negative, that is human nature. But.... If someone creates a whole other post about how upset they are that comments were negative, then they are implying that there is something positive to say. Jmho.
  • @lexi34 where all having a great convo and expressing our opinions without being desrespectfull at all or bashing. Why did you find it necessary to say that? I dont think ive offended anyone have I. Oh and I dont think you directed that to me either I just want to make sure no one is being offended by what Im saying because that is far from my intention

  • Oh ok now I get what your saying :) @newmommy17
  • hmm maybe she does have everythin in her life stable and wants a baby. You dont have to be so negative about things.. Its not right to judge someone... Specially if we dnt know half th story. First ask questions and get to know her reasons then give advice & yur opinion accordingly
  • @I_anaya I haven't seen anyone judge here, just giving advice and opinions. Also, I have seen where.people asked her questions and she has yet to respond.
  • @I_anaya Im sorry but we where just having a conversation with in a conversation lol I completly forgot about the main poster because she hasnt even commented once. I dont think anyone here is actually judging her just giving our opinions on her and anyone for that matter ttc so young.
