Some people view think negativity is saying" go to school first, get a stable job, make sure you are emotionally ready" honestly how is that negativity and bashing???if we all agree with her no one would be claiming about negativity.I'm sorry but we are not going to all agree on teens ttc.that's just not going to happen.
I got pregnant at 16 and delivered at 17. Positives for me are raising my child at an age where I have alot of energy. I also will be young enough to play with my grandchildren. I love my husband and we wouldnt change how we did things. A child is a blessing. I dont think its great to have a baby at 17 but there are joys in it.
I've been on baby bump and reading about 14-17 yr olds ttc and other women were giving them advice and saying how its not going to be easy.and then all the other teens got mad and calling the women bitches and saying that they were bashing them and bringing negativity.....I wonder what those same girls are gonna be saying when their teen daughter comes to them about wanting a baby.
@sjmom energy has nothing to do with it.I know plenty of older people that's in better shape and have more energy then some teens and adults in their early 20's.you cant justify that.
@lexi35 I actually started my period at 10 (fun fact) and I remember at around 16 a little voice saying, "you know what would be nice? A baby!" But my rational side said "NOOOOOO!!!!!!" I actually never wanted kids until I met my husband.
@isaiahnjocelynsmommy the question was asked about the benefits of being 17 and having a child. Im only saying a few of the joys I have had. I also think that how someone chooses to spend their youth is their choice. I never drink or party. I finished highschool at 17 & wanted to start a family with my husband. many people have kids at 30 & still go back to school. Life doesnt always have to go in a certain order to be happy.
@lexi34 That's my best guess too. 10 is pretty young tho. I don't think girls usually start until they're about 12. I noticed the little voice would go off around the time I ovulated too. Crazy crazy hormones, right?
I honestly don't think most teens ttc(under 17)knows what it takes to raise a baby.hell one was saying"ill drop out of school" and other craziness.and saying "I don't have a job but ill think ill get one at the gym"...and if you're wanting a baby at that age, they're missing something from their lives....when the question was asked"why do you want a baby at that age?"...no one really answered the question.and saying "you don't know their situation"..well what kind of situation do you have to be in to want a baby at that age anyway?
I didnt stop at high school. My husband and I have grown together. We completed vocational schooling and college degrees together. We have a strong faith in God and each other.
@sjmom I actually have a friend who got married 2 months before her 16th birthday. Its legal in Jordan with parents permission. She's on her second baby now!
