He's so sweet!! What a little fighter. Glad everything is going as well as possible. My parents live in Taos so I am familiar with Santa Fe, not so much ABQ though. Keep your spirits up hun!!
this is the first time i read this and im sitting here crying! im glad hes doing great! hes going to be a strong baby! so happy for you!! stay strong mama!
so tiny! seeing his pics honestly made me tear up here at work! it reminded me of when my son was in the nicu and had all the breathing and feeding tubes and IV's it was so hard for me but it makes us mommas stronger and now i look at my healthy 3 month old and I'm so grateful for every single day. i can only imagine how hard this is for u but i do know the experience of not being able to take your baby home, having to travel to and from the hospital multiple times a day, and having to be on hospital schedule and protocol instead of being comfortable in your own home. if u need to talk about it, (and while november isn't too far away, it isn't next week either, it does get physically and emotionally exhausting real fast) u can always tag me or inbox me id love to share any tips or advice if u want them. congrats and good luck he is so precious. a survivor!
@ExcitedForOctober@happiestmommietobe and @anyone else I missed: I noticed other people were asking and I was curious myself, so I went back to her original post, and if I did my math correctly she was exactly 27 weeks when she had him, but she said the Drs. were saying he was measuring a week smaller.
Hey Congrats hun, I had my baby girl 4 wks early on Friday, not quite as early as you, but she is in the nicu as well, so I can relate! Good luck and stay strong, I know how hard it gets to walk away and leave them there but its all to get them healthy!! How are you feeling??
***** answering questions and saying my thank yous***** @everyone
Thanks again everyone!! I appreciate all the prayers and best wishes!!! I know he is going to pull through this. Yes it is correct I had him at 27 weeks!! Well since it was 1am technically 27w1d. He is doing good but needs help breathing which his oxygen levels do much better while we read to him! To all mommies that have gone through this I want to say u are amazing! And all mommies really! Its hard seeing ur child not doing well and not really being able to do much for him! It breaks my heart seeing him that way! But I stay strong for him! U don't realize ur true strength until u become a mom!! I'm Sorry to make anyone cry! This is to let other moms know that through the darkest moments u still have light! They where going to take off his breathing tube he was doing so good but he has been getting fluid in his lungs. Ill update on that tomorrow! Depending on the ultrasound he has on his heart it might be because a vent has closed like it was supposed to. Ill know more tomorrow. But he has been doing so good otherwise! He opens his eyes and stares at the nurses evilly when they wake him its so cute! Jude says that he gets that from me and I have the same look when someone wakes me up lol I deny that!! But he is special and still strong!!
