  • It's interesting that I've seen many comments about him being at the age of consent.... But what if his girlfriend isn't? I doubt he realizes the risks of having sex with an "under aged" girl. I realize it varies by state but I know of an instance in Texas where a 17 year old had consentual sex with his 14 year old gf. Her parents found out, reported him, it was considered statutory rape because she was not the age of consent and now he is registered as a sex offender. It sucks but it's yet another reality that I am sure many teens aren't thinking about.
  • id lecture him and then tell my mom.. its not snitching if theyre doing something dangerouse.. lol
  • @txmoorekat I was wondering the same thing. She did mention her car was in the driveway, so I am guessing she is atleast 15 ( drivers permit )
  • I think its crazy that he hasnt already been talked to before now. I mean shouldnt you have that talk with them before they got this age? Just my opinion tho.
  • Why risk knowing they are having sex probably not using protection? It's better to get there parents involved so they can put her on bc and give him condoms!
  • I am sure they have @mimii36.....or better yet I am assuming they have. But like a lot of children you have to talk to them more than once....
  • @mimii36 not every parents talk to there kids bout sex or stds or protection my parents or grandparents didn't talk to me bout it I learned at school!
  • I wouldnt tell. As many stated you want to.keep the trust between you two.
  • crazy! Maybe just buy him condoms and tell him to be careful
  • @sara102011 oh no I was not trying to put anyone down or just listen to one side. I'm sorry it came off that way. I just wanted to see everyone's thought on the subject. So if I came off being hateful towards the nays I am sorry.
  • Buy them a pack of diapers and a box of condoms and ask him which one he'd rather have.
  • @Gunners_mommy I didn't read all of the comments...so sorry if this has been said. But personally, I would tell your parents & hers. He might get mad but either way they are teenagers & will do what they want, regardless of if you tell or not. It's better that they have available options of birth control, condoms, & std tests to potentially try to stay safe, than be too scared or embarrassed to ask for any of the above. I say 'try' because God knows if birth control & condoms worked 100% I wouldn't be pregnant. Lol

  • @thehumancrockpot love your name!! Lol super cute.
and yesterday that's basically what happened. I told my mom and she didn't tell him she waited last night until he told her.
  • @gunners_mommy, you are doing what's best for the safety of your brother honey. I commend you for that. As far as the negative comments, take them with a grain of salt.
  • i wouldnt snitch on him....i would talk to him myself as a BIG sister...
  • Do u really think ur parents think he's a virgin?? I don't remember many 16 year-old boys n my hs who were and that was over 10 years ago. Honestly, they prolly already know, but think he at least uses a condom. And how do u know he didn't?? Did u search the trash or something? Cuz a lot of guys flush em.... Just sayin. I wouldn't say anything, because I have never been in that situation, so I wouldn't know how to react.
  • So, dis-regard what I just said, I didn't see there was already a resolution :)
  • Good job that he told her.
