"cry it out" support group

So tonight is night two of letting lil man cry himself to.sleep... i make sure he is fed burped and dry and happy when i put him down... but its SO HARD he cried for 30 mins tonight so i finally broke down and checked him and he just wanted held... put him back down amd 10 mins later hes out.... i dont think i have ever cried this much

just know that babies can physically cry for 11 hours straight no breaks but breaths

I think I read somewhere that you're supposed to go in every 10-15 minutes, calm them, then set them back in the crib, but i'm not 100% sure, i'm a first time mom, sorry

@bahamamama4828 posted a link that crying it out can led to some brain damage. i hold mine until i cant take it anymore. i put her down for a little bit then pick her back up

I was told that you aren't supposed to let them cry it out until atleast 4 months

My son is almost 6 months .... i do go in and check on him he fell asleep all night after he cried.. but damn it kills me but he is getting more comfortable in his crib

he will get used to it mama keep it up! I have done this with each batch of kids and it gets easier on them and you! all my babies turned out fine (i work at a daycare with 6week olds to 14 months) they will get used to the routine

oh dear not suppose to let them cry at all until they are 6-8 months. at this stage they are looking to you for comfort and if you arent there, they feel abandoned and give up and stop crying..tons of babies choke from crying too much and it may also lead to failure to thrive..

what i mean is please mamas research what it actually does instead of listening to your doc, and listen to your motherly instinct..im not judging but i never let my children cry it out

He will be fine hunnie! I think this discussion is like circumcision...everyone will have their own opinion. Just make sure you check on him frequently.
