Brody and I have thrush. We have the medication but for me my pharmacy only had four pills until Tuesday (this was Thursday when I picked it up) and my Dr said take two the first dose so left me no pill Monday (yesterday ) will I have to start over? Also do I have to have the nipple cream I never got one from Dr do I have to have it or is just pill fine?
Andwhat can I do in the meantime while being medicated to help my nipples not hurt so much while breast-feeding? My right side is so bad I don't even want to pump or feed off it and now the left is starting to feel the same way.
Is there anything else I should know about thrush and getting rid of it like should I boil all pacifiers and bottles? His Dr and mine were no help..... I really don't want to give up Bfing how can I keep thrush away as well I am miserable with this.... sorry so many questions.

Thank you @amab13. I keep putting milk on my nipples and air drying and I quit using the nipple cream stuff too keep them dry but is there anything else I can do to help with that burning type pain I get when bfing?

My first years nipple butter its amazing and its the kind u don't have to wipe off before feeding its like 8 bucks at Walmart

I'm trying to keep moisture out of my nipples since thrush is a type of yeast infection so I figure I should keep them dry but I have loads of lanolin creams lol. @darknesofnight4u.

try soaking nipples in plain yogurt with no added sugar and dont eat much sugar either, sounds weird but see if that helps besides meds

I don't know about nipple care from thrush but I do know that yogurt help get rid of it in babies...

How did you know your bby had thrush. Did he seem to be in any pain while feeding?

No he is fine my nipples hurt. I noticed his tongue was white and a little on the roof of his mouth. I waited a couple days to see if it went away then I tried to get it off and it won't so I looked up thrush and found he is latching right the pain in my nipples is from me having thrush and that's why his tongue and mouth is white. But its not bad in his mouth it doesn't have the cottage cheese look just a little white like it could be milk. @mimii36
